Gluttony: over-indulgence and over-consumption of food, drink, or intoxicantsThe modern concept of the Seven Deadly Sins is linked to the works of the 4th century monk Evagrius Ponticus, who listed eight evil thoughts in Greek as follows:
* Gula (gluttony)
* Fornicatio (fornication, lust)
* Avaritia (avarice/greed)
* Tristitia (sorrow/despair)
* Ira (wrath)
* Acedia (acedia)
* Vanagloria (vainglory)
* Superbia (pride)

SELF PORTRAIT
I did the fact painting myself using black eyeliner, white face paint, eyeshadow and glitter.
When it came to Gluttony I really didn't want to go with the traditional portrayal of someone stuffing their face with a cake. So instead of focusing on an over indulgence of food I created an image showing an overindulgence in colour, and had the colour pour from the mouth to symbolize food / drink.

Wow, I think I'm going to have to go through and favourite all of the series.

I absolutely love this one... i love how your nail and the colour of the face paint seem to bleed into each other... like the paint dripping from your mouth filled your nails with colour!

It's nice to see the colours reflecting the sin in question. Strange, but effective.
