Your girl, Halevs, is back at it doing the artsy-thing this week with a very special birthday commission for GimmyJibbsJr from your friend Brave-King-Shishio !

So, we have another lovely oc for DnDs once again this time with a Disney twist. This is GimmyJibbsJr's Cleric of Storms named Aello, daughter of Hercules and Megara.

(and might I add: I am loving how you DnD players are so creative with your characters, its awesome! )

Despite the fact I myself am not much of a Disney fan for professional reasons [*cough* DreamWorks FTW *cough*], this character was so fun to make! I really enjoyed how smooth this character's scheme was planned out from the origins, to the design of the hair and clothing and her interests, it just blended in so beautifully! I wanted to show some features of her parents while in this pose like her father's strength and her mother's sassy attitude. I believe I nailed it, what do you guys think (you see a little Meg in her? :3 )?

Anyways, techniques: I had to exercise some lighting skills from the ambient light as well as the small storm cloud. Smooth sailing for that part. Now, originally I wasn't going to add the hight lights to the outfit, but since there wasn't a lot "going on" visually I opted to put the hight lights to balance the pose more. The teal hair was super fun to draw and colour! A lot of flowing movement involved so I added some lowlights to give volume or thickness to Aello's ponytail. Skulls I debated putting in, but again for the spirit of bringing out this gothic type character I wanted to add something edgy but cute to her bow: skulls. (Besides, I'm Spaniard Mexican I know a lot about skulls and making death look cute.) Sandals: stylish! I wish I had a pair for spring time. Everything else: just awesome, very easy colour scheme to follow! There you have it!
