Description I just cant- I just can't- I just can't seem to get started
Don't have the heart to live in the fast lane
All that is past and gone

[[Song for this picture: Lee Ann Womack - Forever Every Day: [link] ]]

Submitted due to popular demand, I bring you the first part of Pinky the Convertible's past. This is at least MY interpretation of what her past may have been like. Unlike the Surfer Woodie and the Superbird who had quite a few lyrics which were quite descriptive as well as following a very stereotypical lifestyle to boot, Pinky has maybe 20-30 seconds of screen time and only a few vague lyrics. The most we learn is that she's unable to start anymore and doesn't or can't muster the heart to live in the fast-lane.

Before going into the picture really, to put my own analysis in here. The whole bit about the fast-lane I believe is due to her being a car from the 50s. Back in the 50s the world was a lot calmer and slower then today. Gas was cheap, cars were made luxuriously, so families would go out and cruise just for the fun of doing so. However these days of course people drive to get things done and go to and from work, its all very time sensitive and hurried. I believe this is what she 'doesn't have the heart' for.

OH, and before I forget, Pinky is fan speculated to be a 1955 Ford Fairlane Sunliner. Like many of the cars from the movie, her appearance doesn't match the real-life car EXACTLY, but it's the closest match I've found:

Now to get to the picture-----

So this was Pinky's family, your average late 50s/early 60s single daughter family. I have to admit, I drew this before fully thinking about my timescale (which is important for later as you'll see) originally this was meant to be definitely in the 50s. However I will go right out and say that this 'memory' is from 1963.

The little girl here is Violet, she's 3 years old here and you'll be following her and Pinky throughout all their associated pictures. Their relationship is very much that of one between a mother and daughter. While Violet of course HAS a mother, Pinky (being relatively new at the time of Violet's birth) was the car who drove her mother to the hospital and back when she was born and has been there watching her grow up. The two of them are best friends and Pinky cares for her like her own er..metal and oil.. it's not uncommon to see the two of them sharing secrets, reading child stories, playing hide and seek.. things like that in the back yard together.

At Violet's young age, she's able to see that Pinky and probably every other appliances is alive. I'm kinda perhaps tweaking mechanics of the movie's universe here, but even in the movie it at least seemed to maybe hint that young Rob had a friendship with the main characters. I'm working off of that idea that maybe children are able to see things that adults can't because of their broad and totally unbiased view of the world around them. I'm going on the idea that perhaps the force that makes all the appliances go into the object state when seen by adults is tied into the person's perception somehow. Like that the appliances are forced into being inanimate because of the person's own preconceptions that they should be. It's all very complicated and probably falls apart when looked at on the bit par level, but I think for this simple story it works. Just the idea that kids see things.

I based it somewhat off the crap-tastic sequel to TBLT, "The Brave Little Toaster Goes To Mars" in which the Master Roband his girlfriend Krys from the first movie have a baby together and the baby can see all the appliances are alive and plays with them: (the best example of it I can find on youtube ><; [link] ) While they don't go into much detail about the aspects of how old a child gets before they 'forget' that they're alive. My personal view is its when you get to be THAT age, you know the one I mean. When you stop believing in fairy tales? When you find out Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny aren't real? When your rational mind begins to take over and you become the bitter jaded person you'll grow old being.

So really the setting here is intended to be both silly but adorable at the same time, I hope I pulled it off. Though it's probably obvious I'll explain anyway. Violet has just came back down to the parking lot with her family after picking up their food. Being the girl's sorta 'imaginary best friend' and effectively second mother.. the sweet little girl offers to share her fries with Pinky. While Pinky obviously can't eat it, she's pleasantly at her kind offering. Meanwhile her parents funnily enough are left wondering what their crazy little girl is doing trying to feed the car french fries. X3

While trying to make a really defined 50's look I wanted to pic a background that encompassed something that truely looked the era. I'd always loved all the heavy use of neon in the old buildings, and I like fast food, so I decided to have this memory be of a nice family outing to Mc Donalds. (XD) While most of the building is hidden behind the bushes, this is the old kind, where you actually walked up to a window outside to make your order. As with all these 'Tales from Ernie's Disposal' pictures I made sure to use reference and do my research on the eras and settings depicted. As proof here's two of my reference material:

Lastly, I'm not incredibly happy with how this came out. I actually erased the 'paper' texture from the lineart. I felt it made the colors too dark and kinda took the cheeriness out of the scene. However in hindsight I notice that without the graininess of the paper texture the picture looks a little flat. I'll try to avoid making that mistake in the future.

maybe young children can see that cars and appliances are alive because they still retain that innocence that we all eventually lose when we're told things like "it's a thing, it's not alive".

Ha ha, the first picture. The one that caught my eye and got me invested in this magnificent series. Just seeing it again is a real experience! To explain it's sort of like looking at old footage of seeing a WWII Navy ship or something or maybe an actor you like from the past, and then going to see them in person and discovering the film is years if not decades old. The figure you were coming to see isn't quite what it was, it's aged, older than you remember. It's quietly sitting there having grown old and it doesn't look as spectacular as it once did. But coming back, seeing it, age or not the old girl still commands a certain majesty, a certain magic and presence that no amount of time can ever take. It's transcended time itself and become a timeless figure. I know this picture is old and obviously outclassed by your newer work and the designs were changed slightly from this, but being here, seeing it all again and remembering those moments when I first saw this. Those moments of "...I know that car!!" and the first steps I took into the incredible adventure that was the Lives of Pinky and Violet, the moments when I became hooked and a part of me was resparked as my childhood came surging back at full steam; it's like standing on hallowed ground. That one place where you say to yourself no matter what venture you went on in life "This is where it all started. This humble little thing right here." And for me, I can't ever see this piece without smiling a little to myself. It was when I found you were into BLT too that my internet shyness began to wane and I was brave enough to try and strive to actually get you in a conversation. If I recall correctly before this, I'd comment here and there and nervously try to strike up a conversation but our chats were always slightly brief. I think we really hit it off some time after this picture if my shite memory is holding steady. Pinky's story began here and our friendship actually started taking shape shortly afterwards. So I suppose no matter how much greater your artwork gets, how obsolete this picture is, how completely superior your skills get to this, just going back and seeing it all again will always hold a certain power with me. The one tiny little thing that makes this special, and ensures it always always will be. That's why coming back here after all this time, after how far down that dusty road the adventure has gone, and commenting on it is a great pleasure to me. It's so fascinating to think that her one moment in the sun in the actual movie inspired so much. Such simple words in such a short verse had such tremendous power.

I just cant- I just can't- I just can't seem to get started
Don't have the heart to live in the fast lane
All that is past and gone

And then an adventure is born. Characters and lives, interactions, memories; everything that she ever will be was born as inspiration, random chance happened to align and you simply decided to put pen to paper and make Pinky your own. That one moment that would pretty much lead to every big comment I ever dropped, our conversations on YIM, our friendship; in one moment something incredible happened. I remember you telling me at car shows you were considering doing pictures of cars for the owners but were too afraid to sell your work. I think, looking back on it, that you should have no fear over the quality of your art and if anyone would want it or not. It can be a very very powerful thing that can change lives; in this case for the better! I cannot stress enough how incredible I find it to come back here and see everything after seeing what the series has become, how attached you've made me to what was a one off character with about 15 seconds of screen time with your masterfully crafted storyline. Seeing them all here in this simplier form all happy is touching and something short of mystifying.... even if I know what happens at the end and hope that the idea of Pinky Adventure DLC with a happy ending that shows something saving her from being deadΒ  Β XD But enough of me prattling on and getting all nostalgic and sentimental over this picture's effect. I think you'd at some point appreciate if I actually TALKED about the artwork itself eh? XDD Before I end up getting lost in nostalgia and reflecting on how I'd never even know who Lee Ann Womak even is without this corner stone in my life!Β

I think that you captured the spirit of Brave Little Toaster very well in the tales of Pinky throughout! I will start by saying that firstly! As for 50s I'm not entirely sure that this quite hits it's mark. 60s I think it finds a comfortable fit but for the 50s I think primarily Violets dress style seems off. It actually kinda screams 60s to around 70s I'd say. That being said I think Violet the little girl in the red dress is an adorable and iconic little image that the Brooks would fondly look back on in their photo albums. "All the other little girls wanted pink, but not our little Violet. It always had to be a Red dress! Why, I remember before she started second grade I had to go to four different stores to find her a red dress for school!" "Dad, you're embarrassing me..." * shy awkward smile at person in the room* Mr. Brooks looks pretty good as far as the timeline goes. I think his personality has always been displayed pretty clearly and consistently so props there ^^ Mrs. Brooks has had nearly a complete overhaul but I think that's kinda for the better honestly. I think that a redo of this picture at some point after the comic ends might be a cool neat and tidy little nod to the past and of personal growth.Β

The little burger headed guy on the sign however..... lol I'll be perfectly honest and say that I think you goofed him up pretty good compared to the picture. lol I don't know why but there is something DEEPLY unsettling about his one dead eye, that sinister grin, and the way he's pointing down at everybody. *shudders* lol id they went here often I could see WHY Violet had that nightmare! But hey, I give an A for effort! lol though for some reason he sort of puts me in mind of a homicidal Vault Boy from Fallout with some kind of chest deformity.Β

lol 1963... two years and then Cassandra will be born! I do love the architecture from that era though, everything sort of had this whole SPACE AGE look to it. Dynamic shapes, colors as a feast for the eyes, creative characters and fonts for everything. :/ Sad now how everything is going for this "sleek" building block shape simply so they can stuff in as many things as possible side by side! The "Less is more" approach has always bothered the living hell out of me! I like MORE bang for my buck! I like big cars! I like when something tries to look flashy! I like big fins on cars and bullet lights! I... sort of sense I might be going on a rant that may end with me experiencing something similar to the Air Conditioner so I think it would be best if I just call it there XD Your building looks pretty spot on and I think the coloring still holds up after all this time all things considered ^^

"The two of them are best friends and Pinky cares for her like her own er..metal and oil.. it's not uncommon to see the two of them sharing secrets, reading child stories, playing hide and seek.. things like that in the back yard together." XD I have to chuckle at this line because I'm trying to imagine HOW on Earth Pinky could hide anywhere in the backyard! A very cute mental image though.Β

The effort you put into thinking about things and fine tuning/explaining the universe of BLT is also a wonderful touch. Being someone who also loves over analyzing things and studying over every little detail I can in movies as well I'm interested in the way you put everything together and tried to understand how it worked. There's always a certain thrill to piecing a universe together for yourself with the little details you discover that the story itself never specifically mentions, that feeling where you start to thread together the basic laws of that world. Given how..... less than perfect the sequels are it's very satisfying to see you make something workable out of them to use for the universe as a whole regarding Pinky; who is from the first movie. It's a delicate but happy balance that I think you managed to perfectly find!

I think you nailed the intended feel square on the head with the drawing, the sort of silly and adorable scene you were going for comes across very well. Though I think that at her age in the pic (3) I think that her parents might find it a little more funny than odd lol or at least Mrs Brooks would while poor Merv looks on with a tightened and confused brow like he can't quite process it or is unsettled slightly by it while Mrs. Brooks sort of laughs it off finding it cute and sweet. lol For that point in time at least, as she grows I'm not entirely certain how she'd react, but throughout the series Mrs. Brooks has been fairly cool and understanding over everything. She didn't have to show Violet those pictures at the end and give her a chance to say goodbye, but she did and I think that was incredibly cool of her. And no matter how confused he was, Merv was always willing to give them some wiggle room and step back somewhat allowing her to have her moment. But yeah, as I was saying before I began rambling yet again XD I think you got the desired tone out of the picture that you were after ^^Β

And again, I'm right there with you body. The neon signs, the creative building designs. There just seemed to be a lot more heart and effort put into things back then. The feeling in the air must have been incredible. In the last decade we had just come out of WWII, we weren't rationing supplies anymore for the troops because they had come home, the feeling of everything was a bit of luxury after pulling our belts tighter for the good of the soldiers, hope was everywhere because we had just beaten the most evil force in history so everything felt like it was possible. It must have been an incredible time to live in! lol I wonder if Pinky ever came across any Greasers in her day? Or if Merv ever took the family out to the drive in picture show! lol but yeah, for a strongly 50s feeling scene I think a fast food joint is a perfect scene to choose!

Actually I'm noticing something now that I read that last line in the artist description. lol I always thought it was cloudy out in this picture but I can see the little sun effect and the blue sky. I'm inclined to agree that the colors are a bit too dark for this picture. But hey, it's old. We live and learn right? Though if I could pick one littleΒ insignificantΒ detail to praise, lol since I have a habit of doing that. I'd have to say that I REALLY like the way that the little concrete that keeps the cars from going through the parking lot and pulling up into the bushes looks! I think that the colors on that look like they were painted on by a rather skilled painter! It makes that little portion look almost realistic and because of it, it actually makes the entire road look better as a whole. I thought originally that I'd be praising the road and those barriers, but I put my hand over those things too look for the specific details in the road that I liked; but honestly aside from the shading and shadow work I couldn't really find anything. I think that those little barriers completely make the road portion of the drawing with how well they're done! So bravo there!

lol So in closing like I said it's apparent that this picture is one of your older ones and you're still getting a feel for the characters and making the characters emote. lol Pinky looks like she's either a little tipsy or just waking up out of a nap, the expressions are a little flat, I'm not entirely sure how exactly Mr. Brooks is trying to hold that pipe, and the colors are a bit dark especially towards the sky; but I still warmly regard this picture and would never wish to see it gone from your gallery even if you went back and redrew it perfectly. There's something about it that as I said makes it timeless and makes me fondly reflect on a lot of things. It might be old, but I don't think it will ever overstay it's welcome. The first step in the Pinky adventure I think will always, ALWAYS remain timeless. Thank you so very very much for drawing this and uploading it. I'm glad popular demand won out and you did. I'd hate to think what things would be like if it didn't. It was and honor and aΒ privilegeΒ to finally write this comment for this piece. It more than deserved it. lol and it's about time I got around to doing so! Thank you again my dear friend! Here's to hoping for many years of more outstanding artwork and memories to go with them!

Oh god.. it's 6am.. do I really wanna try to tackle this now? XD Well.. I can't get myself to go to bed so I might as well.. and I've let myself reason out of and procrastinate on this long enough! So here it is buddy, the long over-due response to your novel.

Yes heh.. it's quite a thing to go back to the original picture isn't it? Sometimes I'll even go back to it myself for a little bit of perspective, to see how far I've come when I need a little motivation to keep at it. ^_O Looking back at this picture is funny, and I'll touch on this more later, seeing how the characters have changed design and remembering my original feeling that this would be the only picture Pinky would get but then falling utterly in love with the idea of her and Violet being friends. Anyway, it's amazing how subtly skill and your own feeling of what's good and bad drawing changes over time. I remember being moderately happy with how this looked and now looking back on it well... it kinda sucks ass... not major ass but still sucks. Seems like you're even willing to admit that now which is quite amazing actually. Don't worry, no offense taken. I can understand what you mean, no matter how bad this picture starts looking, it still demands respect due to it's legacy, if it wasn't for it being made none of the other stuff would have. It's like the aging mother who gave birth to the famous actor or whatever.. sounds like you personally thank it for showing us a mutual interest and for that leading you to get less shy online. Glad to hear it dude.

Haha the Pinky DLC, I like that, maybe I SHOULD charge people for the alternate ending eh? /: P Yes yes, lets hear you talk already, enough stroking of my ego... (and yes I could have said cock but I didn't want to gross you out. Oops! ^.O

Originally this was supposed to be the mid-50s I think, but was made the 60s retroactively as a retcon. I think if I'd known Pinky's real-life equivalent at the time I wouldn't have made that error, remember, this was back before I even pinned her as a 55' Ford. I'd be kinda surprised about the clothes looking wrong though, because I always get clothes from references and I'm sure I probably searched '50s dress' or something. Haha, I find it funny that you make such a point about Violet being the girl in red. If anything she's KNOWN for her love of girlish pink, almost every appearance she makes after this drawing she's at least got a pink bow on. XD Though you could argue that it's more spawned from her admiration of Pinky then an actual preference to pink.. though that's only if you wanna make her less stereotypically girly. : 3

Hehehyeah.. poor Marv, he never went much further then your typical man with pipe and fancy suit did he? Just about his most defining feature is his premature baldness, I really look for some opportunity to expand on him like I did with Rita aka: Ms. Brooks. Ah Ms. Brooks, you sure are right.. she's really changed hasn't she? Going from a pointy jawed stereotypical 50s advertisement woman to the milf we know her as today.
Pfft, I didn't goof up shit dude! Did you look at the reference links at the bottom of the description? That's what the McDonald's mascot looked like!

Oh god.. Cass, will that girl ever leave your mind man? You're so friggin in love.. XD But yeah that's pretty surreal to think about isn't it? Cassandra was just a little pup fresh off the lot when little Violet and Pinky were playing together in the backyard. Yeah I really miss classic American architecture like this too.. so does everyone else.. all these 50s themed games like Fallout 3 and Bioshock 1 are proof of that. What happened to our society to make us get so lazy and uninspired? World-wide America ranks super low on architecture style.

HAHA! Could you imagine Pinky trying to hide her big ass behind a tree or something? Heck her trying to scramble to a hiding place in time would probably send out little shock-waves and knock Violet off her feet. XD Sometime tells me Violet always did the hiding.

Aw I love hearing you talk about her parents, you know them as friggin good as I do, it just makes me happy seeing how close attention you've payed to the characters and such.. thanks man. Of course her parents weren't as developed then as we know them now. But I never think I meant for them to look concerned just... I guess surprised and not sure how to react? XD But you're right, knowing Rita as we do now she probably would be giggling. ^^

Greasers eh? Well I think the Brooks live in at least kind of a middle upper-class neighborhood so probably not domestically.. but maybe in passing or such when going down town. I imagine Marv being the type who likes to avoid conflicts, if a group of guys look like trouble he'd probably park a few blocks down instead.. he's got a family to protect after all. As for drive-in movies, you bet your ass!

Really? You're going to praise me for drawing a parking-lot curb stop?
Uuugh yeah... Pinky's expression.. oh god that just kills this picture doesn't it? God her eyes look so damn vacant and dead.. I'm surprised anyone could get any emotion out of this piece at all! Yes..lets say she was sleeping.. please.. that's the only real explanation. : C I don't know, maybe I wasn't used to drawing Pinky's face yet, maybe I didn't know how to make her feel about Violet's gesture? I don't know. But besides her dead eyes the other thing that really bugs me about her is that she's too damn tiny! Seriously, she's a 50s car she should be a LOT bigger next to the Brooks then that... man.. fail.. u.u;

Anyway thanks a ton for thisΒ  comment, it was totally awesome dude. Sorry it took me so long to respond and don't make it think I didn't care about this feedback. <: 3 I guess it's size just intimidated me to procrastination.. anyway, so don't feel obligated to write and equally long response back to this or anything dude... just read it and enjoy. I'd rather you kept your strength up for writing what you think of the latest comic. ^^ Been very very excited to hear what you have to say about it, but I figured I didn't deserve that comment till I responded to your first one.. so hopefully we're even now. *bro-hug*

TheApprentice225 In reply to Half-dude [2017-05-27 01:03:01 +0000 UTC]

Oh jeez it's been 3 years o-o I'd better tackle this now before never!! lol I think mine in this instance is longer overdue so let's hope it's worth the wait! lol hopefully I can provide a novel in response worth the silence. Again though I think this was one of if not your best series to date and it perfectly demonstrates what you can do when you love and respect the characters you're working with and help flesh them out. I can't wait to see when you top this, lol though Pinky will always have a special place in my heart. It's such a relatable tale too, because I think anyone who grew up in the era of Toy story and BLT all had that moment when they personified things around them and had that one time they ended up losing it. That one family car that just has been there since the beginning, that one toy that was your favorite, that one boat that your family always took out, that one day just broke or was sold leaving you feeling like you'd lost a friend. I think it's a quintessential part of the human existence to try to try to personify their environment to one extent or another, and this series was just right on the mark for hitting that cord.

lol and you'll have to spare me a chuckle, I'm listening to noir style music as I'm typing this and I can't shake the mental image of a smoke filled office with a file on the desk with all the images inside a manila folder, just going over the last ends of a case all wrapped up. The story of Pinky, the epilogue; all wrapped up. And man was it an experience.

And you're right, you can really see how you grew as an artist throughout the series and between the pages. I'd like to think the series sort of made greater and greater demands of you during its run and every time you were put in a position where you had to rise to the occasion. Honestly I really hope you do follow through with your plan to do the others because I'd like to see where you end up artistically having to rise to ever higher levels as the scenes and inspiration demand. Callie, Ol' Green, all of them deserve a little love and would make for an engaging tale. I try to do that over on FA, every picture I do I want to try to set the standard for the next, but at the same time I'll always look back at the first and remember where it started. It IS amazing to see how insight and style changes over time! Heck I look at pictures now and consider perspective, lighting, color interaction, and all sorts of other little details I never paid a passing thought to before. But yeah this? This will always be special no matter how old it gets. And it's that mutual interest that led to our friendship! Heck I might go as far as to say that this picture indirectly led to you coming all the way down to Florida to help work on Cassandra! Funny how things work sometimes. lol this really deserves to be animated.

>.> It's probably the best for your health that you didn't say that, yeah. lol and heck I wouldn't mind seeing an alternate ending! But at the same time, it's such a good story that it just feels right. It's over, for better or worse and yes she's dead, but Pink led a full life. XD granted I still recall my idea of having all that iron hauled off and melted down and just enough of her sort of lives on after it's poured into a new mold for a new car that at least a part of her goes on and ends up with another family (maybe Violet later on) and starts it all over again. lol now there's a thought eh? Some young flashy car dealer with an older Violet and maybe a fella looking over this family car and the salesman explaining that some eccentric special ordered this pink custom job and never picked it up, and Violet being just like "Actually... I kinda like it!" and just ending like that. Though as I've said a hundred times I'm a sucker for happy endings.

lol that or I could go the red vs blue route and be all "It's not pink, it's lightish red!" but all yucks aside it still looks pretty good clothing wise. Depending on the area some people's senses of fashion can lag behind a good decade from say New York or California. lol so if you REALLY wanted to explain stuff away you could always go that route and I doubt anyone would challenge you so long as you never gave specifics! But it is funny to see how Violet's color pallet evolved as her personality was expanded upon.

Hey, if it ain't broke down fix it! lol he works with the jacket and pipe look! And the premature chrome dome I think helps making him a more relatable every man type. I'm sure if this comic got bigger traction there'd be some dedicated Merv fans; especially if he had more time in the comics. But in fairness, this was Pinky and Violet's story. I think doing a redo of this one some time in the future would be something really fun to see! Heck if you timed it right and uploaded it on the right day you could make it an Anniversary thing! And if you ever DO the sequence I'll be more than happy to check it out and leave you my walls of comments on every minute detail I pick up in every panel lol.

I saw it and something about yours just strikes me wrong XD I don't know what it is but it just sets off a part of my brain that makes me feel uneasy! And I mean more uneasy than a hamburgler Vault Boy Hybrid would usually disquiet someone. lol Speedy will haunt my dreams every time I reflect back on this picture!

lol hey I'm an obsessive and a man of convictions! I knew the moment I first saw her that THAT was the car I wanted out of every other car out there. And with her being just outside of the window at the table where I sit the likelihood of her not being on my mind is DRAAAAAASTICALLY lessened. And buddy, I COULD answer what I think set us off the tracks and why we lost our cultural identity, but that would make this reply just MONSTROUSLY longer XD I tend to go on "red Pill" binges online where I look up details of things, dissect conspiracy theories, and study politics with a fine tooth comb! I'll just say that I hope one day we start returning to that way of doing things and pride in our work so we can... Make America Great Again

lol something tells me she won very often as well unless Pinky would actually drive after her and look around! And while a part of me thinks it would kind of be cute for them to have romped and played a little, another part can't help but imagine a car driving after someone and scream Christine. lol but hey, I'm sure they had a way to make it work! And if Pinky DID move, considering Violet's stubby baby legs can't go 60mph something tells me she'd be at a slight disadvantage.

"Okay little one let's play tag!!"
"Okay mama!!"
"Tag You're it!!!"
*Speeds off doing 75 down the street*

XD well again, I'm sort of an obsessive. When I see a series I like, a part of my brain compels me to learn enough about it that I could write a passable story of it. While they've not aged well, a prime example of that would be my OLD OLD Halo fanfics, where I'd say exact weapon types, radiation levels, protocols, and stuff like that. And with Rita and Merv you gave enough detail there for them to write themselves in a way and move beyond the page. They're the kind of characters that balloon up and just start slipping back into the story despite starting as one off characters! If I'm perfectly honest I think you managed to capture lightning in a bottle with this series. Everything just worked, everything just kinda fell into place, and it developed it's own flow. And it was kinda funny how bits would just pop up randomly in your gallery as if the characters were just playing around in your brain on their own. I personally still get amused about that Pinky in Duke Nukem Forever picture you uploaded where it's just BAM! SURPRISE PINKY!!!

Yeah, the more quiet sensible type, but when push comes to shove I could see him having enough of that turn of the century moxie to throw a hook if anyone ever got too out of hand. lol he also strikes me as being the kid who got mostly A's in class or had a high reading ability for his age. Not super genius of course, but "I come from a lower middle class family so I'm kind of a bookworm" type. Didn't we use to joke around about Rita or Merv having their own Pinky moment when they were little but they just kinda forgot about it?

lol yes. Yes I am because I'm bizarre like that. But in all honesty I don't see a lot of people drawing parking lot scenes remembering to put them in. They're just kind of that thing you overlook. I know they don't have too many here in Florida because I've seen a BUNCH of people just pull on through two parking lots and just cut down the wrong way to leave a Walmart parking lot. I swear, Florida has to be the state where the elderly come to drive.

lol well hey maybe she was sleeping AND sprung a leak and started to deflate! But joking aside if you look at some of my Early furry character references you'll see I get the faces weird because I wasn't used to drawing them. I'm still kind of not to be fair as there's some angles where their head just seems to melt and I can't get it right no matter what I try. I think that's always been flaw of mine, drawing something and then trying to redraw it in a slightly different pose. But I'd like to think I'm getting there. Like if you pointed to one of the Universal Series Combatant robots I showed you when you were here and said "Draw this one but facing this way" I think about 60% of the time I'd get it right, but if you had me try one of my more stylized character's like Saul T Fox I think the odds would drastically go down. It's just a part of being an artist, it takes being absolute crap for a bit until you find your mark; and even then while everyone else praises you you'll always pick fault with it XD And hey, at least this picture isn't in that god awful Cars style!!

lol well if you forgive me for taking so long with my reply we can call it even I think! lol and this one is more than likely a ton given it's size!! Eventually I will have to move on to the other comics and tell you what I think! lol that is if I haven't already. But my tardiness aside, all of these comics deserve a good comment! Art is a powerful thing, and I'd like to think this whole series is proof of that! I'll see if I can't care out some time in the future. To be honest this comment has been hanging in my inbox for so long, I really didn't consider my return to DA really official until I finally replied to this. This comment, this is kind of like that breath of fresh air and that "I'm back" kind of moment for me. Here's to the future bro, lol and here's to hoping one of my works can one day summon such admiration from you and an equally massive comment.

Thanks, I really love the old 50s fast food restaurants, they're so crazy looking! I really need to remake this picture though, I've gotten so much better at drawing since this one.

You kidding? I've already drawn 2 pictures of the Indie (Andy) 500 Racer, as well as coming up with his driver and mechanic team.

Oh. I saw that in your gallery. It was awesome. You should do the wedding car or the blue car next. The hearse would be kind of creepy.

I did two pictures of the Limo and Hearse already! XD Do you even look first? The only cars I haven't done any pictures for is the Blue car and Green truck.

I saw it. It was adorable. I more expected seperate pictures (the hearse in a graveyard and the wedding car in a wedding), but I like it the way you drew it.

You gotta love how Pinky's just barely big enough to fit them. XD Or Pinky's utter lack of any real emotion in her face with those dead doll-eyes.. gah! I can barley look at this picture anymore.
