The first time I did a piece like this was for Japan...this hits much closer to home. A couple of hundred people have perished in Alabama two days ago, the victim of a huge outbreak of tornadoes that this nation hasn't seen in nearly 40 years. I have spent a lot of time in Alabama. One of my family's favorite eating joints is in the Birmingham area, which was very badly hit. I thought that this time I would throw in Amy's Daughter, Annie Kroker, and Bender, and I went back to my childhood love of auto racing for this picture. My heart goes out to the many people who have suffered and lost their homes, and possibly their loved ones in this terrible tragedy. Not only in Alabama, but throughout the South. My heart is with you. And like the thoroughbred car in this picture, you will rise again.
