Here is my idea again, this time re-done in color. There is just something about seeing that flash of purple that just makes the picture. As I've been writing about Turanga Leela in my stories, she's been sort of like Alia in the Dune novels, sort of a wise warrior/priestess; it's kind of refreshing to see her here as a tough high school kid. She would either be wearing some kind of boots, or the black Keds shown here. And the B. O. C. shirt - in Indianapolis in 1980 we had the infamous "Black and Blue show"...Black Sabbath and Blue Oyster Cult played a concert at Market Square Arena and racked up a record number of arrests at a rock concert. Yep - she would have been there!
