Game Development Art / Game Concepts & Illustrations /This is a new piece of art I just completed for Evil Hat Productions for a RPG called Fanatasy Heroes. [link]
It was inspired by 1980's/1970's Heavy Metal Magazine and I channeled my inner Frazetta to execute their art direction to the create the blind evil warrior wizard, who carries the demon sword to see with.

very good question...and the answer is he sees through the sword. If you examine it closely you'll see how.
