Description "The Queen of Hearts, she made some tarts.
The Knave of Hearts, he stole those tarts.
The Mad Queen said: off with his head.
Off with his head!
Off with his head!"

Not exactly school-work, but something that sorta spawned from it.
Last week or so, we visited a rose garden to sit down, chill, have fun and draw pictures.
I had this in my head and sketched it out, but didn't come back to it until later on, 'cause the idea felt too nice to just throw it out of the window.

So I worked this out with pencil, ink and then wanted to turn it into a quick practise with watercolor.
Quick, because I really needed the block this was on.
I have 3 fucking A4-blocks for watercolor and they will all be occupied with different stuff to work on simultaneously. That's how busy I am now

But well, expecting something with this many rose petals to be a "quick practise" is lunacy in itself already...

Anyways, I'm done now.
I feel like the background could have needed more care and the roses could have used another shading-tone, but it's done now the way it is.
Time to move on

Oh yeah, that skull creature in the background is based on the way the Queen of Hearts is depicted in Pandora Hearts, chapter 61 (before you click the link, be aware of heavy spoilers, if you so happen to read PH ).

That's where the reference is from.

The harmony between beauty shown in the red roses excellent colors
and darkness in the form of the detailed skeleton dragon, connected by the blood
found dripping within the piece.
Sound work Bro,

First, I was skeptical about the colors (the way I always am, actually), but red-green-blue/purple didn't turn out to be a bad choice, I suppose

I appreciate the comment, as always, man.
