The Master Chief with the rest of Blue Team and Cortana, in her new human form, stood by the controls of the Composer. The Composer was completely dead and had fallen down to the ground of the large cavernous room. In front of them stood the ur-Didact with two of his Promethean knights by his side.

The Didact’s helmet pulled back and revealed his face, “What have you done, you arrogant human?”

“The Librarian warned us that you intend to destroy humanity to make more of those things,” responded the Master Chief as he pointed his MA5D Assault Rifle at the Didact.

“You fools, right now there is a threat that would threaten the entire galaxy, both Human and Forerunner alike,” responded the Didact extending his hand forward, “Harvesting is a kindness to you humans, that should not be dismissed so lightly. Sacrifice yourselves and we can defeat this threat.”

“Not going to happen,” replied the Master Chief as he firmed his grip on his weapon that was pointed at the Didact.

“Kelly now,” order the Master Chief. Kelly grabbed one of her fragmentation grenades and almost tossed at the Didact and his Knights, but was interrupted by the sounds of another voice in the room.

“I see that my enemy is here,” said a holographic alien that appeared to be projecting from the control interface for the Composer. The Alien face had four eyes and head that was similar to that of an insect.

“It’s is worst then I would’ve imagine,” said the Didact, “A Precursor has returned in full form.”

“What is going on,” demand the Master Chief, who continued to point his weapon at the Didact.

“To put it in words that most of your underdeveloped minds can understand,” explained the former Supreme Commander of the Forerunner, “They were the gods before us.”

Suddenly a large mechanized unit appeared among side the the Didact. It was clearly of Forerunner design, but stood almost three times taller then a Promethean Knight, and even stood taller then the Didact.

“Warden Eternal, it is good to see you,” said the Didact to the large custodian of the Domain, “Hopefully we can stop this threat before it becomes out of hand.”

“I am afraid things are deteriorating much more rapidly then we could have ever predicted,” replied Warden Eternal, “We must leave this installation now.”

“I see,” said the Didact to Warden Eternal, before turning his attention to Blue Team and saying, “I will not forget this foolish act human.”

The Didact, along with his forces, were instantly transported out of the room by Warden Eternal.

“What just happen,” asked Linda.

“I don’t know,” replied Fred. The Master Chief remained silent and lowered his weapon.

The sounds of a Lich could be heard outside followed by the sounds of several explosions.

The Master Chief looked behind him to get a better look at the hologram that was behind him and his team, but it had already vanished.

“That most be Tezma and Delta Team,” said Cortana trying to walk.

“Hold on there Cortana,” said Fred helping her stand, “Chief would you mind carrying her?”

The Master Chief was still trying to process all that had happen, but finally came out and said, “Sure.”

“Thanks Chief,” said Cortana, “I am not quite able to move around like I use too.”

Linda grabbed a sniper veil out of one of her suits compartments and gave it to Cortana. The former AI wrapped the piece of cloth around her body, settling into it like a Roman or Greek Toga. She walked over to the Master Chief, who picked her up.

As Blue Team walked into the hallways of the facility, two members of Delta Team rushed into view.

“Fred,” said Alan Willmore.

“We need to get of here,” said Lau, “Things have gotten bad, this place is crawling with the enemy now.”

“Wait, who’s the naked lady,” asked Alan noticing Cortana in the Master Chief’s arms, “Is that…”

“It’s Cortana,” finished Kelly.

“But how,” asked Alan.

“We don’t know,” replied Fred, “but you said we need to go.”

“Yes,” said Lau with urgency in his voice, “The Empire have completely taken over this place, and they are not what they seem. It appears that they even pushing back the Didact. ”

“Yeah, we had a run in with the Didact, he seemed pretty concerned about the some alien now,” said Fred.

“Then lets go,” said Alan.

Agent Lau took lead while the rest of Blue Team followed, with Alan and Fred at the rear. The group quickly rushed for the Lich that was waiting outside.

“So you found a naked girl Fred,” said Alan.

“Yes, we did,” replied Fred at the Alan’s joking nature, “did you find anything new.”

“We found a naked man,” replied Alan.

Stunned for a moment by Alan’s statement, “Well, what interesting times that we live in.”
