originally, he was supposed to be partnered with the Blot. from what i've heard in interviews, but it's already sad enough that he was a forgotten characters...so they made him a deuteragonist. idk if i spelled that right XD( a person next in importance to the Protagonist)

I think it would've been cool if Oswald HAD been with the blot, but had like a realization sort of thing at the last minute of his battle against Mickey.

Yeah. Same here. Hopefully we'll get to see more of their new bond actually grow with these upcoming sequels. Wait wait whoa whoa whoa. There's gonna be SINGING in the sequel? Oh for God's sake...And I thought it was stupid that they brought the Mad Doctor back...Well let's just hope it's gonna be like Nightmare: Oogie's Revenge singing wise.

ya there is going to be singing apparently XD. I'm kinda sceptical about the game because of that. But hopefully the game-play overcomes the singing. The characters have voices now too.

Oh wow. I'm actually excited to hear the voices; I thought it was kinda weird that they didn't talk. OK well Yen Sid talked so I'm not worried about his voice. But it'll be a good chance to see Bret Iwan really show his stuff. I liked how Mickey sounded in Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded; I thought his new voice actor kinda got his voice down, but I could tell he was trying too hard to imitate Wayne Allwine. Not really possible. With Wayne he brought a sense of like innocence/kindness yet also power to Mickey which was nice and made him more connectable. With Re:Coded I always could tell there was a guy behind a microphone recording the voice. This new guy is gonna have to find his own way to voice Mickey while sounding similar to the others. So this'll give him another shot at it.
I might just see a few scenes on youtube and see if I want a game where Mickey sings, lol. If the game play and story are anything like the first I'm sure it'll hold up ok.

Ooh, this shows Oswald as being pretty dark, hm? Still, I like the idea of Mickey without the paintbrush and thinner yet, though it worked out really well in actual gameplay.

It's really a shame that the game didn't turn out quite as dark as I was expecting, but I am glad that Oswald wasn't a villain. Oswald's anger at Mickey was enough for me ^^

This would have been SO badass! It's kind of a shame that they wanted to appeal to a greater audience, especially kids. Then again... Did Warren Spector really turn down this idea himself?
I guess it was done so the make Oswald more sympathetic... Although he was already sympathetic when you think about it... Actually, I think he wanted him to either be neutral or a secondary protagonist rather than the main villain, but still, Oswald as the main villain would have been cool, and I think the idea that he would try and redeem himself afterward would make him a bit more three dimensional.
I don't know, I guess I'm just a little disappointed with the final product and I'm only left wondering about what could have been.

I too agree. This artwork is AWESOME, but it would have made Oswald forever cast as a villain and probably without a change of "redeeming" himself.

That might be true... I suppose it's better to go with the route they took, and make it clear that Oswald isn't a bad guy, then go this route and risk mixing messages.
