Description Ah, yes. Some of you select few people may remember the concept of the deconstruction book.
I still have pictures of the old book, the old pieces..
New school year, new deco book.
We haven't actually been assigned anything yet, but I'm doing pages anyways.

For those of you unfamiliar with this concept, you take a book, apply a layer of gesso, and then go nutso on it.(two pages are considered one page, and that is what is required as "one page") Last year the preferred subject was "subtle color and texture".

Splattered watercolor. Filled in the blanks with ballpoint and pencil.

that's what my body feels like when i used to do drugs regularly.

i'm so glad that's over.

still, there's something lovely here. maybe it's that perceived magic.

or maybe it's just the lines.

I hope so. I'm going for no bad pages in this one.
My first one had some questionables, and just plain shitty's.

It reminds me of a map....I love the use of pencil here! There is a yellow/orange spot on the bottom of the right page...It got my attention!

Have you done one on a piece of masonite yet? say 36X72
I spent a season collecting shades of blue but never used them.
Very good work. Will have to try it.
My mother did a set of screens similiar but not as good she used colored tissue and didn't embellish it as you have withe pens and things.
Come to think about it She did an entrance hall like that and then antiqued it with gold paint some how. It was real interesting.
I guess she liked gesso at the time.

When I came back again last spring the question of what is masonite was asked and hooked me into returning. Thats why there are three wilders. the first was taken so i took wilder2 forgot my password and rejoined under wilder3 after i came back i was looking at new deviants and noticed wildoor she said the first three were taken. any way They wanted know what masonite was. Its used not so much anymore with all the wafer board and pressed woods.
My mom has been an artists since I can remember, She knows how to crash a machine has never even had a drvers license so you should be real proud she has a page.
