that diamond person is every where if you do a search for ascii she is litteraly on every one,always saying its a fake,ive never don this stuff i couldnt, but the point is art is art thats what this site is about, but its obviouse that diamondie is the first person to ever do ascii art , and she is the master, i mean that tiger is the best(sarcasm) , she needs to look up art , im not actualy sure what it will say.....but i got some ascii art for you diamondie....

Oh my f--king god. What the hell has happenned to DA? People have lost all respect for senior members, and truely great ASCII Artists.
I, personally, don't have a problem with people uploading converted ASCII images to this section, even though it would be more appropriate to place them under photomanipulation. HOWEVER. It is a gosh darned serious problem when people are getting credit, praised for "hours of work", when all they had to do was take an image and run a program, converting it into ASCII in seconds.
I don't have a problem with this plagiarism, but please, PLEASE put in the description how long it took you to do, and that you used a converter.
If this image is not a conversion, then this message is in response to the ignorance of those who flame honest respectable people like Diamondie. She has never been anything but courteous to strangers who upload images such as this. She cannot help it if she doesn't have time to write messages as long as this explaining how the artist went wrong every single time something like this gets uploaded. CFS is enough of a problem, she shouldn't have to deal with ignorant flaming.
Well, that's my $0.02. Take it how you will.
P.S. Art is personal expression. If the image was originally created by the poster, then converted they should post so, and should be commended for their wonderful work on the original image, and not the fact that it is in text. A person taking an image off a website, converting it in 30 seconds in a program then uploading it as their own is not making art. They are plagiarizing.
P.P.S. I just dropped in after staying off DA for a while, and this is the only post I will make in response to all the ignorant posts and "art" creations in the ASCII category. I hope you all will be happy to know you have made me lose faith in DeviantART, and I'm not planning to return.
