Description Allllllrighty... CHEESSECAKE TUTORIAL!

Yes, it's late... meh. xD I've been busy (for once) and just haven't had the time to format and put everything together.

As always, sorry for the watermark and things. I can stop doing that when people become honest and stop stealing. =_=

Also, please don't make them for commercial purposes without my consent because that's just mean. T^T Lastly, the finished deviation will be posted later... plate and all! But, have a try at it yourself first!

wen I tried making the sauce It was really thick... This is the first thing I tried making and I am a bit worried. Did I getthe wrong stuff? It says translucent liquid sculpey, bakable transter & color medium... It's the only thing hobby loby had. but the mixture was tick and opaque... What happened

Amazing! I've noticed that a lot of people who sculpt miniatures use the little cookie cutters and razor blades. Where do you purchase those at? Also, what does TLS stand for and where do you buy it? I went to Micheal's the other day and couldn't find it.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Kaitlyn62354 In reply to FearlessFilly [2009-12-09 01:20:58 +0000 UTC]

cookie cutters and razor blades can be purchased at any store really, you can use just regular cookie cutters for clay ^_^

TLS=Translucent Liquid Sculpey, and its at micheals, its hanging up above the sculpey. if you dont find it there than its at hobby lobby by the sculpey

i wanna know. how do u make the soft clay become harder so that it can stay for a long time?

i really love your work.

really nice!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

HanaClayWorks In reply to thedotz [2009-01-20 18:20:36 +0000 UTC]

the specific type of clays that i use are oven-baked so that they turn hard.

minxybeca [2008-11-30 23:27:08 +0000 UTC]

Just wanted to know, how come you can't use acrylic paint? can you use acrylic paint on polymer clay?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

HanaClayWorks In reply to minxybeca [2008-12-31 17:38:57 +0000 UTC]

you can use acrylic paint on polymer clay, just don't bake it after you've painted it. acrylic paints are water-based and so when you put a large amount of heat on it, the water inside begins to boil. when that happens, you'll get tiny bubbles that will appear in your clay and that just ruins the piece.

can you replace the TLS with glue perhaps?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

HanaClayWorks In reply to Kokoro-no-sekirei [2008-12-31 17:42:34 +0000 UTC]

no... tls can't be replaced with glue, unfortunately. glue won't bake very well in the oven. :/

ProstheticXHearts [2008-09-30 06:45:19 +0000 UTC]

Um...this may seem like a really dumb question, but I've never used liquid clay before, so here goes...after drizzling the 'sauce' onto the cake, does it dry/harden to the point where you can safely move it to your baking dish? Or should this be done directly on the baking dish?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

HanaClayWorks In reply to ProstheticXHearts [2008-11-13 22:15:16 +0000 UTC]

the liquid clay doesn't harden until after you've baked it so i would recommend you do it on the baking dish. otherwise, it might be too much of a mess to move from one place to another

foxpaw [2008-09-25 04:26:35 +0000 UTC]

This might be a stupid question, but, how do you get the slices to stick to the plate? And do you put them all on the plate, or just one per plate?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

HanaClayWorks In reply to foxpaw [2008-11-13 22:17:47 +0000 UTC]

glue? or you can just put some liquid clay at the bottom of the plate and bake them together. the number of slices you put on a plate depends on how big your cake slices are and how many of them you can fit on there.
