It's done! Sorta! AT LAST!!!

Here's my Contest entry for the "Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley Drawing Contest" by Natsume Inc.

This piece is rushed to be honest. I wanted to put a background and 2 more animals (the dog and the bunny) but I ran out of time...again. CURSES!!!

I wanted to do a fan art of Natsume Inc's latest game, "Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley". I drew Claire (yes, a new and different Claire ) because I picked her as my main character, Gilbert because out of all the bachelors, he's the cutest...and the weirdest, Calvin the Harvest Sprite for grazing the animals (I have no idea why I drew him, he's super weird), and a chick and a sheep because I like them in this game for being so cute and fluffy.

I haven't finished the game itself because unfortunately, I couldn't stay consistent in it. My interest in this Harvest Moon title keeps dwindling...which is a first. I don't mind the chibi graphics but I hate the "minecrafting" game play, the slow pacing and having no town and villagers made this game a bit depressing.

This may be the last game from Natsume Inc. that I'll ever play (unless they release another HM game that is more interesting) since the game has been drastically changed...in other words, the real charm of the game is gone. I don't blame Natsume since they're not the original creators of "Bokumono Monogatari". The only thing they own is the "Harvest Moon" title...which they ruined themselves. I'll be moving to "Story of Seasons" from now on and cherish my memories of all the past Harvest Moon games (I'm so sorry Natsume!!! )

I'm having an extremely hard time blending copic markers together since I keep messing up the more I try. So, I experimented a bit. I may have finally found my main art tools by using copic markers as my color base for drawings while using pencil crayons for shading. Combining these art tools are like bread and butter...I super love the result it gives!
