I've been meaning to ask you, how do you get the "<3" shape of your cherry blossoms so perfect??
Every time I've tried thus far, it has a tendency to "flop" on me into some kind of "<)" type shape...

Practice? ^_^? I don't know, it's just starch and pinching... Keep at it. You'll get it!

Okay, so I've heard various different methods of how people "starch" their petals.

What would YOU consider proper starching procedure??

Sorry, I'm a horrible net teacher. XD This I way I probably won't make a tutorial...

heregoes. Ok....So you can starch the fabric and cut it into squares. That makes it easier to cut. I use laundry starch-- the kind that you need to dilute with water and spray from a slight distance. Don't over do it-- just make sure the starch is even. Then I put paper over the silk so as not to burn it. Iron. Finished!

I usually have to re-starch sakura because the hand dying process washes any starch out. Dunk the little things in a bit of watered down starch and shape. Tweezers are your friend.

The last of them are still in bloom! We have maybe a few days for these stragglers, but the height of cherry blossoms was...a week or two ago! It's been a fun season.
