I...never actually played ''The longest journey'' until recently, through steam. Which is why I only ever talked about Dreamfall, and not the game prior. But let me say...
The game was truly atmospheric and generally just amazing. I disliked some of the ''trial and error'' point and click adventure mumo-jumbo it had, but the story surely made up for it! I even replayed the game twice to see all my choices. (And Zack was being an ass in both of them, bleh)
But let's just say, I have new found love for a game that I only got to experience recently. And it did not disappoint. So...sorry for lying and all by saying I played it before. I just...didn't wanna feel left out is all.

I actually only consider the first game to be trully amazing. Dreamfall was okay but the third game was just ... nope.
I'm so glad you've enjoyied the first game now. Its atmosphere and story is beyond perfection. I still dream of living in such universe.

Tak ses dočkala už druhé kapitoly. Když odhlídneš od toho, že je to zasranej seriál, stálo to za to čekání? Asi jo. I když, jak už jsme si to vyjasnili, na první TLJ to asi nemá (^_^)
Jinak asi by bylo na místě tě srovnat s April co? Když už si tu na ni hraješ (^o^) Ona je děsně hubená aspoň v první hře, má velký prsa a skvělej zadek, jako všechny Ragnarovy hrdinky. Anorektička nejsi, zadek není vidět a jinak to odpovídá ^^Hadry fajn.

První díl teda moc ne, přičemž v druhým se to zas rozjelo. Ale ve zbytku by to mělo sakra gradovat. Protoože buďme upřímní, čekat na něco třetinu délky svýho života, to už musí bejt fakt něco.

And I love April Ryan. Zoe and Kian are great characters, but they both feel like they're the two halves that make up April: strong and righteous as Kian and determined and cunning as Zoe.

April will always be the one. For some reason, I have never really liked Zoë. Maybe I just can't forgive her replacing April, in some way.
Yet, I'm very interested in their stories and wondering where this all might go.

I don't have the proper computer to play it, but I've seen someone play it, and I really liked it a lot.
I'm certain that Zoe didn't replace April. The producers said tha Zoe and Kian's stories will propel an even bigger story that will follow and after seeing the first chapter, I'm very sure that that story will be about April or perhaps her successor.
From all the knowledge I know about the game, I know for a fact that Dra Kin get reborn into new bodies to continue their journey or destiny.
I now see the reasoning in the last game: everyone was telling April that her role in the coming events are over and that every story comes to an end. April thought it was only her ultimate end, but it was actually the end of this persona of that life, and the coming of a new one that will fulfill April's wishes and destiny. This is why I am sure that Saga, the little girl at the end was April's successor or rebirth.

I know I know. You are right. But I tend to be irrational sometimes.
Kian's story seems to be quite interesting, judgin from just the very little we had the chance to see in both games so far. Yet, Zoë seems to deal with completely different stuff and doesn't really fit in. Or.. I don't know. I just have that feeling. But I guess that once the story is finished, everything will make sense. We'll just have to wait and see.
Interesting theory. Lately I've been obssessed with reading RTG forums and theories just to get a hint of what this all could possibly mean.
But I quite liked the 'ordinary at the first sight, yet quite special on the second one' girl April has always been.
The last part of Book One was just perfect though. It was so refreshing to play as this character
