Description Mmm, more from the bird concentration again!

This one was a quick, single-day project that I used for the most part as filler to meet my ten piece requirements and, while it isn't the most technically brilliant thing I've ever made, I still enjoy it. I'd previously plastered a cheap canvas with newspaper and decided that this would be a good use for it, slapping some gesso over the top to create a decent workspace for some new, clean lining... which is micron, felt-tip and sharpie, if I remember correctly.

Not much else to say, I suppose. Do not steal, copy, use, redistribute and so forth, etc, etc... I should seriously just make some copy-paste friendly saying to slap on the end of all my descriptions. Blah.

Striking and truly distinctive work! I'm a huge sucker for hummingbirds, but I've never seen them drawn in such a crisp, graphic style; it's absolutely refreshing, and a joy to behold. That they're drawn over plaster and newspaper is fantastic, visually appealing. Brilliant work!

Why didn't I focus more on art while we were still in high school?

You're so great!

that's really nice. it has the precision of a print!
did the gesso prevent the sharpie from bleeding?
