Please look at the last image to the bottom right of this link: [link] Did you give this artist, Burak Canpolat, permission to use this photo in his work, "Lost Violinist III"? It has been PUBLISHED in Computer Graphics World, Nov 2010 issue, so I sure hope you did! If you did not, please let me know, I'll scan the page from the magazine with this photo on it and email it to you, and you can confront both him and CGW magazine - if there was no permission given for publishing, someone owes you an apology in their magazine, and some money for its use!!

It was in Computer Graphics World magazine. Here it is ON LINE, you can clearly see his piece that is using your photo without permission: [link] It looks the same in the printed magazine as well.

Wow. I'm not so much angry at the magazine as at the artist that used it without my permission. I'm sure the magazine had no idea.
I just have to find a way to yell at this artist. Seriously peeved that he published it like that.
Hopefully the magazine can give me some info about how to get in touch with him...
Since it's all online I think I can do without the scan. Thanks though! I would have never noticed this.

I agree that it's technically not the magazine's fault because the artist lied to them as much to everyone else! You should contact the chief editor, Karen Moltenbrey. Her number is (603) 432-7568, her email is karen@cgw.com She will know best what to do from here, and could put you in touch with the artist (or his LAWYER)

This is just... lovely. It's so soft and the lighting really brings out out the beauty within the human body and the violin. Converting to black & white might have been want made this photograph so powerful.
