Gaah... I can't even imagine learning how to handle such amazing cameras...

That camera is a beast. The lens is GIANT.

GenerallySpeaking In reply to hansoloqt [2010-11-09 01:12:38 +0000 UTC]

In that case, I couldn't physically handle it either. =9

The camera I have is a Nikon Coolpix p100. It's an in-between camera, I guess. It may have 26x zoom, but it doesn't have image stabilization

I had a Nikon Coolpix L20, but that, I later found out, was one of the defective ones released by Nikon. The focusing capabilities were pretty much shot and a lot of photos were not only grainy, but had weird random gray patches x.X

The camera and lens used for that particular shot was a Nikon d7000 with 14-24mm F2.8. My friend told me the camera now ways about 2-5lbs I believe xD

What do you think is the best in-between camera ^^?

What like a point and shoot, straight digital?

Yeah.

xD See, still learning here haha. I was using a Sony Cybershot and really liked it. A lot of the photos taken in the passed couple of months prior to the Nikon D3100 were taken with a Cybershot ^^

I am so undecided...

Oh no! I'm only 17 xP Though there are some amazing photographers my age, I'm far from pro. I want to be a vet

By the way, I am going to enter some competitions soon. It would mean a lot if you looked at some of them when I post them.

The best advice that I've been given about editing by a professional is: less is more. Don't over-edit things. The more natural the better

I guess that is true... But I'm so addicted to bringing out the colors and contrasts in my images.

hansoloqt In reply to GenerallySpeaking [2010-11-14 23:49:35 +0000 UTC]

I haven't done any on these pictures. All that was just done using manual settings on my camera

I still haven't learned how to use my camera to its fullest... I can't find the Macro setting. I don't even know if it has one at this point...

hansoloqt In reply to GenerallySpeaking [2010-11-15 02:25:51 +0000 UTC]

It'll look like a little flower. Depending on the camera, it's either turned on by pressing the down arrow on the camera's little selector thing on the LCD screen side, or by rotating the dial on the camera, if you've got one.
