Many thanks, Martina! That's the result of a colour trick. I described it under Sabines comment, if you wonder.

Nice creation Hans. Great reflections and just a great scene! I don't know how you can do these without a preview window! Do you do a small render 1st then go full scale??????

Thanks a lot for nice comment and support, Steve!
Yes, I run a small (400x500px), quick, high resolution render window to see a rough version while tweaking and setting up. Then I switch to larger size and lower resolution for the final rendering and go to bed.

You lost me.. again! Β  How do you mean 'partial'? I didn't know that's possible...
Thanks for your kind support, Sabine!

Ohh, it is in mb3d... there you can set which colours should reflect and which not... I though, maybe in mandelbulber it was possible too!
You are welcome as always, Hans!

Now I see! No, MBer doesn't have that option..Β  What happened here was a render with green pillars and blue cealing, as in the ball-reflection. Then I changed (almost reversed) all the surface colours, that doesn't change the reflections or colour of the sphere. An interesting effect, I thought. Nice to know that you look at theese things long enough to notice details like that.

Mandelbulber and mb3d work so differently in these respects! What you have done here would not have been possible in mb3d. Once you change the lighting you lose the reflections! So you must before using reflection get it all right. Luckily there's partial reflection
Always my pleasure, my friend
