Description

This beautiful bird was a commission. I chose to do this one on an odd paper size to accentuate the length of these birds, so the paper was extra long. This was done with coloured pencils on a dark grey paper.

It took quite a bit to get the hang of how Flamingos look as they are quite an add bird, so there was lots of study sketches, but I also went to a place called Paradise Park in Cornwall to go and see their flamingos (it was also a great excuse for a day out to see amazing birds and animals).

I'm really pleased with how this one came out and the client loved it as well.
