Description
As the final chapter of Steven Universe, this has been a depressing yet great series.
I love that this series is now finally tackling one of the major issues of the original series of Steven being able to convince his enemies to change too easily by bringing some individuals that never want to change and still clinging to the old diamond regime like Jasper, the other Lapis Lazulis, and Bluebird. The series has also finally tackled Steven's inner demons since he is running out of problems to solve and the changes of time are finally settling in. Steven's progression in this series shows that while he finally figured out himself in the original series, he is still heavily dependent on people because they are the ones that made him who he is. Now that everything is changing, it is finally time to face his inner demons by himself.
Steven Universe Future ended the series in a simple, predictable, yet satisfying way as Steven has finally realized the one thing that he needed the most and moved on from his past trauma to find his future. It had its downtime but it delivered what it is trying to tell in the best way it could.
And with Steven Universe finally reaching its conclusion, all of my favorite shows of the past decade had officially ended. It is sad, but at least DuckTales 2017 is coming back next week, and there are still a lot of shows out there that I have yet to check out, so I guess it will be fine.
For real though, to everyone who is involved with this series, the writers, the voice actors, the animators, the musicians and songwriters, and especially to Ms. Rebecca Sugar, thank you all for creating such an incredible series. I hope that whenever you create next will be incredible.
(Edit): Added Everything's Fine.
