yeah, I'm hoping to wip out my scanner and actually put artwork that's professionally completed up here. I got bored and gave up on deviantart because I only have doodles and whatnot :/

I LOVE pencil art, and this is a really strong and graceful drawing. I'm also utterly in love with Neon Genesis. I've only seen the first several episodes because they're the only ones available yet for rent here. ::mild grumbles:: It's possibly the most moving series (animated or otherwise) I've ever seen.

I haven't seen very much anime yet myself. I imagine a lot of it sucks, like a lot of everything, but I've seen some very funny, original and cute things, as well as dramatic action animes with fantastic visuals. I wish I could remember the names of the really creative stuff.

blood: the last vampire, angel sanctuary, serial experiments lain, and NGE, of course, are some of my favorites.

I saw blood:the last vampire and liked that a lot. Not familiar with the others. This isn't exactly anime BTW but I'm a huge fan of Miyazaki movies-- Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, etc., if you're at all familiar with them.

I haven't seen spirited away yet, but I loved princess mononoke...especially the druid-like creatures, who spun their heads; the souls of the trees. I want one of those as a pet.
I think it's considered by most to still be anime, but I don't know.

If you loved Princess Mononoke you should certainly see Spirited Away. It's a bit different, more subtle perhaps, and I appreciate it more on each viewing.
I have made good progress on my creative goals but am not ready to "open shop" yet, so to speak.
