If Lynne had blinked too long she would have missed the whole event. Adie tilted the tub back and practically drank the whole thing. She set the empty container back on the table as Lynne watched in awe. Adie’s eyes glazed over for a minute with the rush of gelatinous wonder that had just passed over her tongue, “Ohhh, that hit the spot.” Lynne’s jaw had dropped and she was at a loss for words. When she finally regained some semblance of language she managed to sputter out, “h-how big was that tub, Adie?” Adie thought for a moment before answering, “The guy who sold it to me said it was something like 14, maybe 15kg. That’s like 8lbs, right?” Lynnes eyes widen even more, “Adie, you got the math backwards. That’s not 8lbs, that’s over 30lbs of gelato that you just deleted in almost a single gulp! Are you okay?” Adie realized that she did have a little bit of discomfort in her stomach, “Yeah, I think it might just take a moment to settle do-“ She was cut off by a belch that may very well have shaken the whole house. “Ahhhhhh, that’s better. Don’t mind my previous comment, I'm fine now.” Lynne could barely do anything more than sit in awe of what she just witnessed. She managed to find words again after a moment, “So I’d say it was a pretty good thing we didn’t have to share any of this, isn’t it?” Adie caressed the globe that was spilling out from beneath her shirt, “Yeah. We should do this more often!”
Lynne sat stunned for another moment before responding, “yeah, but I don’t know if I’m going to be able to get out of this chair. Maybe next time you can take a larger portion of the meal?” Adie’s eyes lit up and she blushed as she stammered, “M-maybe I can. If that’s w-what you’d like.” The two enjoyed each other's company for the rest of the evening before turning in for the night. They video-chatted with their friends who had gotten stuck. Amazingly, none of them were shocked at the fact that the pair had managed to finish a feast for eight (plus dessert) as just a party of two. They all agreed that the next time they try to get together that there should probably be more food available.
