I always liked the way they looked in the Radio Times tenth anniversary special from 1973, a photo shoot recreating a cyberman menacing Ben and Polly (on a beach). It had lots of baggy tubes hanging off it and it looked weird yet effective.

Definitely from the same photo shoot, but as I recall Anneke Wills and Michael Craze are in the foreground in focus and two cybermen are approaching across the beach, and because they are out of focus it adds a certain menace to it as the details aren't entirely clear.

Now THIS is what the Cybermen should look like in the Nu-Who. A perfect mix of retro with some modern touches. Plus that gun is absolutely badass upgrade of the original blasters.

This is what the Cybermen SHOULD look like, not those shoddy Cybusmen replacements we have nowadays [yeah, they were proper lads in A Good Man Goes to War and Blood of the Cybermen, but can we have a redesign, PLEASE?]

I too hate the Cybusmen design - something just totally unmenacing about it. Really expensive suits though apparently - which presumably is why we've been stuck with them. Hopefully they will change before too long into something better.

I like it, it's just the feet seem wrong (but then the feet were always a let down on quite a lot of doctor who monsters, the voc robots with their tinfoil, the nuwho cybermen and their cooking trays) and the cabling from behind each knee seems pointless. like bondage trousers.

This is the first time I see this kind of art. Extremly well made. Do you work for BBC in the Doctor Who program. Or magazines should buy your stuff. Also this is one picture that it is out of the ordinary because nobody thought about it.

It's an old piece, probably dates back to 1989, I've just rejigged it a bit so it looks a bit more dramatic, the colours are all new though.
