Description In the mid 1970s I drove my 1958 converted VW van across the USA in 400 mile day jaunts, following central and southern western routes. Somewhere in New Mexico, or Arizona, I parked to see how close I could get to these wild horses, in a dry river bed. By creeping in slowly, freezing when you they looked my way, I got within 400 feet or so. Using a 150mm Zeiss Sonnar on a Hasselblad 500C with Kodak negative film, I secured this image. Some 4 decades later I got around to printing it. The advantage of a large 6cm square negative, is to be able to crop and still maintain quality. This is only about 1/3rd of the negative, but the only important part which allows the horses to be prominent.
