This reminds me of the trophies in smash bros because of the thing she's standing on. <3

It is hard to make pony anatomy work well, especially when to give them a pose. Yet I am still trying this in order to improve my skills, thus I made a 3D pony tumblr blog to provoke myself: [link]

I love the base, reminds me a bit of those Super Smash Bros trophies, and the wooden planks do fit Twilight. Are you planning to add it in the 3D print, though? I don't know how much that adds to the cost of printing, but if it's too much it might not be worth it. Same goes for the books, I love them, but they shouldn't add too much to the cost.

The elbow (I think it's called) looks a bit weird though, how the inner part bends. Not sure if that's supposed to look a bit different, although I guess there aren't any strict rules that apply to marshmellow ponies ^^
I still think your models are among the best within the fandom! Keep it up!

I won't add the base to the 3d prints, it's just for show.

Thanks for the comment but could you elaborate?
Do you mean the part where the leg connects to the body or the part where it bends in the middle?
I've tried to rig the legs like in this anatomy study:

You should sell the base separately.

You totally should include the base so it can stand up more easily.

I think horse anatomy clashes a bit with the show's style here. I mean the part where the leg connects to the body, btw.
In the show the body and the neck are all part of one big blob, which their front legs just kind of stick out of. In real horse anatomy, it seems that their shoulders actually stick out of their body a bit, and their neck connects to the body in between those shoulders. (like in this random horse pic: [link] )
Because you have to bend Twilight's leg so close to her body here, it looks a bit weird on the inside.

In the end it's more or less a choice between show accuracy and anatomy, and I think show accuracy is the most important part of these models. I wouldn't make the shoulders more realistic (and thus straying from the show's style) just to make the elbow look a bit more...'plausible.'
Just keep using that anatomy guide for your models, and make it all look as good as possible, while staying within the show's style. MLP ponies are marshmellows anyway, so a bit of stretching here and there doesn't matter ^^

Ha, yeah sometimes I have to sacrifice some show accuracy to make it work in 3d.
The eyes, hair and the general headshape are a good example of that.

I think you should just follow MLP anatomy as far as it actually exists, and do whatever you think looks good. You've already made these models look this good, so I'm sure you can make different poses look great as well ^^

Can't wait for this to be available on Shapeways! Although that'll probably take a little while longer. Because I guess you'll order one yourself first to check it, like you did with the other models?
