HR300 and I still adore this place even though it is quite the climb. Hey if you're a hunter, tell me what's your main weapon? My favorites right now are poke stick and big daddy swordI didn't know i could paint stuff like this! Gotta work on my speedpainting more. The character in the picture is Taronci, my dear son.

Awesome work. Really captures the majesty and the flow of the Highlands.
As for weapons, I'm technically a Longsword main (because the longer the sword, the longer the fun, right?), but in truth I'm an omni-weapon. I just use whatever weapon my team wants me to, or whatever weapon I feel like using at the time if I'm going solo. I'm not the best Doot Doot in the world, mind you, but I can use any weapon effectively.

Ohh you and I we are similar. I'm omni weapon as well, effective in all of them. With a difficult hunt, it's so fun to adjust tools and see which one feels most effective. I'll never say no to a hunt of friendly Long Sword DPSing

i favor great sword but i have began getting into hammer for the impact damage & knock outs
i have 2 brothers who i help out too so i am also good at insect glaive and switch axe now

Not to interrupt a 3-day old conversation, but there is a faster way to get to the top than climbing and wedge beetles.
I don't know if you've discovered it, but do you know the sloped circular area next to the upper camp where you begin your ascent? The one where Legiana likes to begin that sometimes has Gajalakas? At the top, under the arch, there's a little cave there that you can run into where the First Wyverian likes to hang out. Anyways, at the end of the cave there's a pretty big opening with some air currents flowing upwards. If you have your glider mantle on you can jump into those currents and they'll take you all the way up to the nest at the top. No painful climb, just a cool lift up. Seen in this youtube video .

Indeed you are. Most people use the other slot for a booster though, since those boosters are nice to have.

They're very useful, especially the health booster. Basically just a fountain of free healing for as long as it lasts.

Good choices! I really enjoy swapping between all weapons depending on mood. GS and hammer are both near and dear to my heart. The big damage numbers are so spicy <3

i can only agree, so far i have only NEEDED hammer on Uragaan, with sword it seems to wreck me but with hammer i wreck IT, it's bizarre
i have yet to try sword & shield but it looks nice
same with dual blades but i feel like speed isn't my focus really
tried lance once but i felt it had way too many buttons
charge blade i tried 1st but i felt like it was too complex for me to start the game off with
hunting horn looks fun
the bow and bow gun don't look fun to me, i am not the best with item management with the bullets so i don't think i'll like them

If you enjoy hammer and GS, I definitely recommend hunting horn! Slow, but deliberate and powerful. You get used to the song buttons fairly fast!
I definitely get what you mean with CB. I wouldn't use it as much as i do, if i didn't have previous experience. It is great how all the weapons are so fleshed out. Hard to play any other similar game from this, because their combat starts to seem quite basic haha.

most experience i had with it was in MH4 on the 3DS but i felt like the controls got harder in the PS4 with MHW
still though i have seen MASSIVE damage output with the super move it has
i agree, the weapons are so good that there isn't really a flat out BEST int hem it is all just play style that all feel different, there is little to no overlap and i love it
