The art style is such a crap because they looks like with syndrome of a down.
The characters are dumb, unlikable, unfunny and annoying.

It's just one of those anime with annoying characters that tries to be 3deep5you while throwing in bible related stuff in it in an attempt to be edgy, offensive, and clever while coming off as pretentious and high and mighty.

It's kinda the Holy Grail of anime, and some fans just get a little obsessed over it. I know the feel. I mostly only get into shows if I'm not pushed into them. The more something is in my face, the less likely I am to take an interest in it.

God bless you for hating this atheistic nonsense ! I hated it already because of calling "Big ugly monsters" with "Angels'' instead of "space devils" or just ''monsters" like most shows do. I'm sure this anime have encouraged people on atheism and disrespecting angels of God. Good shows don't need godlessness to succeed. Look at "innocent'' shows like Hamtaro, Heidi girl of the Alps, and many others . Down with Evangelion and atheism .

Also, Xenogears is a way better Mecha series with Biblical References in it. Like in fact, the Last Boss of it, Deus, was actually a False God that humans looked towards and it betrayed them, which I feel references what the Golden Calf did. Believing in a God that is not the true God will not yield any good. Totally not so atheist there if you ask me.

Same here! I hate Evangelion. I hate how Pretentious it is, I hate the characters, I hate the focus on Stupid and Annoying Teen Angst instead of big action packed Boss Fights against the Angels.
Plus, it was too bloody and scary for me. Seeing that bandaged up and bloody Unit01's face gave me nightmares for weeks!
But try telling that to these Elitist Scumbags who banned me from this one forum I used to be on.
