We need some more reiners to enter, so far I'm the only one!

Hathien sat at the small desk in her farmhouses' quaint office. Passing up the junk mail, sale flyers and bills she noticed one hand-addressed letter with the return address as Sunny Side Stables. Opening and reading through the letter in the rooms' dim light she discovered that it was a personal invitation to the RHS/SSS Summer Show. Searching through the classes she found many appealing ones that would benefit her horses. What she really wanted, however, was a chance to show Coal, the stables' only reiner. Grinning as she spotted a reining class and the beautiful arena it would be held in she highlighted the class and tacked the invitation to the cork board on her right.

Lifting out of her green-cushioned, but somehow still uncomfortable, chair she turned around and looked out of the offices' only window. Thomas was working on Coal's spins in the outdoor arena. The stallion was doing wonderfully. He set down into the spin and crossed his front left over his right, ebony tail lifting into the air due to the speed of the turn. It was hard to focus on the blue roan stallion, however, because every time she tried her eyes would drift up to his plaid-shirted rider. Thomas' face was focused, green eyes constantly flitting back to his focus point so he would know the number of turns he'd taken. Long legs hung effortlessly down from the stallion's roaned barrel while his left spur urged his mount into the spin.

Snapping out of her daze Hathien blushed furiously. Good thing Thomas hadn't seen her studying him through the window. Quickly checking to make sure the red was gone from her cheeks in the mirror she headed through the kitchen and outside. Striding up to the outdoor arena she leaned on the white fence across from the two working boys. Thomas noticed her and finished up his spin, patting the stallion's thick neck as he walked him towards Hathien.

"Hey Hath, whaddya need?" He questioned, wiping sweat from his brow.

"I just got an invitation to a show with a reining class. Think this guy's ready for another show?" She smiled up at him.

"Well, shoot yeah! Didn't you just see him? This beast could take on the big guns. You'd better pull your reining outfit out of the closet--"

"Not me, Thomas. I want you to ride him this time. You two really seem to get along." Hathien said patting the stallion's croup.

Before Thomas could respond she headed back towards the house to pay more bills, holding back a laugh as she pretended she didn't hear the triumphant "Yessss" from behind her.

Waiting to make sure Hathien was back in the house Thomas addressed the stallion he was perched upon "You saw her checking me out from the window too, right?"
