Yes it is very popular now, I think it's just because it's so different than all the other new animes lately. They try and make it like an American cartoon, like with the written out sound effects (BAM, POW, etc.), two 15 minute shorts instead of one full long episode, and they speak in engrish A LOT. It's pretty funny in that sense, and the comedy of it is really inappropriate (as far as cartoons go). You should check it out
