After a long awaited period of silence, I finally got around to display the Lord of Black Knights himself as a duelist in his full glory... or at least in as full glory as the artwork allowed me to.

After some deliberation, and several decks that were thought to match ultimately being rejected, I finally settled on the Mekk-Knights as Lelouch's deck. There's several reasons for that, probably the most important among them being that they're Psychic-Types, reflecting his status as a user of Geass (which counts as psychic powers as far as I'm concerned). Also, their members resemble robots, which draws attention to the Knightmare Frames (and they actually become Knightmares, the Yugioh version, in the story), and finally their storyline reflects a lot of what happened in Code Geass, including betrayal, anti-heroic figures, shifting sides, and reveals that what we originally thought to be the bad guys were in fact saviors of the world. There's a lot more I could mention, but for all of you that need to know, check out the Master Guide 6 card storylines, because the parallels are amazing, and the story is pretty immersive.

So, we did the best girl, we did the badass girl, we did the MC, all that we need now is find a deck for his... spin-kicking bromance candidate. You know the one.
