Description This is a drawing in prismacolor pencils on black paper. The drawing is based on a picture of Peter Ustinov as Hercule Poirot in Death on the Nile. There is actually more to this piece, I had originally done more background with a pyramid. It came out awful. I almost scrapped the thing but he came out okay so I have cropped him out.

Peter Ustinov's version of 'Death on the Nile' had been a little bit easier to follow, than David Suchet's had been (though both had been good).

I honestly hadn't known that Prismacolors could be used on black paper (Learn something new every day, I suppose... ^ ^;; ). And you'd gotten Poirot to turn out quite well in this (better than I would've done, since I'm not very good at drawing from photos....and backgrounds aren't my strongest suit, either. ^ ^;;;; )

I agree with that, but I do enjoy both very much. There is an elegance and grandiose with Ustinov for sure.

Yeah, I do it quite often, I use them on what is called Artigan paper. Thank you very much, that is a big compliment!
