My entry for 's contest. It was to draw how one of the Eeveelutions would be like in ancient times. I chose Umbreon and did a sort of egypt theme mixed with unown theme.

Here's a backstory:

If you've played pokemon Heart Gold or Soul Silver, you've probably been to the Ruins of Alph. If you did the whole thing with the unowns (catching all of them and solving the puzzle) the scientists eventually tell you the history of the ruins. They say that a civilization lived there and had to leave for some reason that escapes me. So i drew this picture with that in mind. Say the leader of the people had a royal Umbreon "pet". So when he died, they mummified him and buried him in the tomb and stuff. So since the Umbreon was his pet, they'd bury the Umbreon with him. They'd also carve a picture of the Umbreon on the walls. That's what this picture is of. So you're probably wondering why it's glowing. So let's say, some explorers come across the tomb. They start looking for treasure. When they pass in front of the Umbreon carving, it glows and activates some booby trap and a giant stone ball starts rolling after them like in indiana jones.

The marking on the Umbreon's chest is egyptian in origin i think. i copied it from a book. according to that it's called the "sacred ankh, the symbol of life". The book was called "Time Cat" in case you were wondering.
