Drawing Sol again. Why? Because he's cool, and my art is cool. It fits. Also, it's the Jrpg version, cause I like it better than the jacked version. Very shocking, I know. But doesn't it look more classy? Also, the chainsaw sword is better than the cheese grater one.

So I've been playing Guilty Gear Xrd, and I've got some first impressions. Firstly, the character designs are incredible, and visually everything is amazing. Okay? Now, the story. I'm one of those people who likes a good story better than visual explosions, so I was very, very disappointed at how convoluted it is. No traditional arcade mode, and just a movie, REALLY?! You expect me to sit there, man? In a VIDEO GAME?! If it were a visual novel, okay, but it's supposed to be a fighting game and you're doing this. Smh. Then they have the gall to say, "Yeah, just read/watch the supplemental material to understand" like it wouldn't be a good idea to just put that in the game to begin with. Really! And also, they're making it up as they go along, so the older games may or may not still be canon. Somebody please sunset me. Anyway, let me know if I have this right.

So humanity found this new source of energy, and with that new energy source they made these robots called Gears. Gears were cool but then they became militarized and rose up against their creators and started a war. Someone (can't remember the name) led those Gears and then people rose up to try and stop them. One was Mr. Badguy here, who worked by himself, and the others were The Holy Order (I think) lead by Ky. So there's a rivalry there or something. Also, they're Gears too(?) They defeated the first leader of the Gears and then there was peace, but then some Gear thot named Justice said, "Actually, I'm starting another war," but she was defeated by the power of friendship and turned good. Then her best friend who wants to get married got kidnapped and that's the plot of Xrd, to go and save her. Also, some thot named I-No wants Mr. Badguy's seed all the time, and some girl named Jack-O is his waifu but she has amnesia so she can't remember him. ALSO also, Sol can turn into a mecha thing that looks like Eva 01. Thinking about this game gives me a headache. Why are there so many thots?! I like the anchor girl though, she's cute.

I like XX Accent Plus better, because it has the traditional arcade/story split, and that's where I got a lot of the lore from. But I got instant-killed on one level with practically all my health by some dapper older gentleman, and I felt the salt rise. Someone please convince me that I should invest my time more into this.
