Before actually explaining my trainwreck of thought process, I just want to dedicate this to my father. Yesterday, around 2:42a.m., my father passed away after a two-week battle against pneumonia. Needless to say, I’m feeling quite sad about it, but I know he would have got mad at me if I let his death stop me from doing the work I was supposed to do. Even if he sometimes joked that I probably downloaded a picture and colored it, I appreciate all his positive response to my drawings. And I really want to dedicate this to him. Because Dad, you were awesome.

Now, for the picture itself, I actually tried to incorporate a lot of ideas for this:
Basically it was:
OCs + Pokemon + Gijinkas + Art Nouveau + “Stained glass” + Colors = RAINBOW
I picked one of my OCs for every color in the rainbow (the typical format of Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Purple), put them in a Gijinka costume of a Pokemon of a specific color (which matched some aspect of their personality), and decorated it with some Art Nouveau designs, and tried to incorporate that Stained-glass vibe in some of the drawings. Since stained glass played a lot with light and colors, I thought it was appropriate. The only rules were: No legendaries, and mixing boys and girls.
Explanation will go: Color – OC (Pokemon): Description of the character, situation, feeling it represents. The colors are associated with a certain feeling, which is also related to the character.
Red – Johanna Hoechst (Ledyba [link] ): Looking for love, this young, timid woman is trying to find her own beauty, unaware of her charm and warmth. She has yet to figure her own strength when facing adversities on her own.
Orange – Alexander Shcherbakov (Dragonite [link] ): A love-or-hate popular, flamboyant young man, he’s recognized for his curiosity, and his might. Incredibly creative and with a general kind disposition, he actually hides a darker, trickster personality only a few people know of.
Yellow - Erika Giemsa (Vespiquen [link] ): An optimist, flower-lover young woman, she likes to think positive and help others do so. She enjoys being surrounded by flowers, and she works really hard to grow them.
Green – Ivan Orslov (Serperior [link] ): An arrogant man, he doesn’t take others seriously and might be pretentious when dealing with others. He is quite confident on his own skills, and his charm, which makes him attractive to a lot of women. However, he is not unaware of what “jealousy” means.
Blue – Arietta (Glaceon [link] ): A trustworthy, dependable young woman who lives in an incredibly cold place. She might seem cold and distant to others, however, she is in fact incredibly sweet. She just doesn’t know how to talk to strangers.
:bulletindigo: Indigo – Felix Hoffmann (Empoleon [link] ): A charismatic young man who has taken the role of a reluctant leader. Despite saying he’s not a social person, he is surrounded by many friends, who have come to respect and acknowledge his inner wisdom, and his insight on things.
Violet – Anna Amsel (Chandelure [link] ) : A young, often misunderstood young woman who is feared by some. She is incredibly strong, both emotionally and physically, as well as mysterious.
