This would have been my entry for the fall IchiRuki art contest, if I hadn't run into internet connection problems and procrastination. Well... mostly procrastination.XD The two themes were secrets and shadows, so this is called "Secret's Out."

The swimsuits are the ones seen in the summer omake (in which everyone goes to the beach and Ukitake organizes a sand sculpture contest). Anyhoo, the premise is that Ichigo and Rukia sneak off for a quiet moment together and got caught in a, ahem, compromising (albeit innocent) position. (I suspect Yachiru.)

This is an expanded version - the original was just the two of them. Since this is no longer for competition, I got the idea to insert panels from the actual omake into the photos behind the "photo" of Ichigo and Rukia.

Most of the coloring was done with Copics - the background is digital (inverted Sunrise filter and insanely color-adjusted), and I assembled the whole thing in PSE. however I did so much of the digital coloring with traditional techniques (pen and tablet) that I believe it qualifies as Traditional Media. I think the anatomy is a bit off (Ichigo's torso is really long) and as for the coloring - well, this is the first time I've had to color that much bare flesh.XD
