I completely agree with crayon chewer.
I was actually wondering just how many people would get the whole scene with the flower and it beginning to fall apart.
And really, the amount of detail in this, not just on gunpowder, but in the background alone looks like it's own peice of art.

I reconized that flower right away! You picked a very good symbol for this piece. I love the brightness of the sun in the back, and yet down at the horizen of the water it's fairly dark. Very well done.

OH MY GOSH HAYCHEL YOU'VE DONE IT AGAIN.
This is so amazing and really jerks at the heartstrings. Not only is the scene beautifully done, but the meaning behind it is as well. THAT FLOWER. It's really endearing to think about Gunpowder holding onto that exact flower even after all this time. Seeing it start to wither though... oh gosh, TEARS ARE FLOWING. The funny thing is I don't think many people will actually catch just how deep this is, but it really hit home for me!
I'm really enjoying these illustrations you're doing, they stir up so many emotions when I look at them, and that in itself is an art form. You deserve all the applause!
