Please bare in mind that this is a mere guide that shows you how I work, you DO NOT have to follow it 100%, it won't take you anywhere. I didn't name it a tutorial for this sole reason.This is one of the painting style that I like, I don't always use this, even, and it is ever-changing. So, there really is no reason for sticking to this exactly.
Anyhow, I hope you guys enjoy this guide and I hope you find your own efficient working process while you are exploring!

This is a great tutorial. But how exactly you're using the overlay-layer? I don't get it^^'

Overlay is a layer type that makes the colors more saturated~ I like to use them when I'm shading/highlighting. For shading, I choose colder and darker colors and apply to shaded areas, the opposite goes for the highlighting~
