Description So, this was originally submitted in 2005; hence why there are really, really old comments here. <3

Repainted in July 2019 as a part of my ongoing efforts to update my submissions without losing the engagement.
There's a number of differences between this and the original, but no doubt this is better.

Just over a week in Paint Tool Sai. Apparently it took me 2 months to complete the original. Yikes.

They're just such a perfect mesh of soft and hard that somehow works. You wouldn't think something like that would work! But it does!

the coloring and shading is fantastic, and the time put into it must have been excruciating... but... the fave and spikey parts of the wings really dont seem to fit... her face seems lacking of a lot of detail, nad then the wingds have those huge bold, almost crude black lines, and the feathers around look completely different...

the picture overall looks lovely, but the coloring and other features seem inconsistant D:

but please dont take this the wrong way
