Boy, this was a long time coming. I didn't want to make my version be Francis Beck because I felt that would be too obvious. Instead, I genderbent Quentin and had her be a reflection of the dark side of the modeling and film industry for women.

Quintessa "Tessa" Beck was once a young and naive fan of cinema and modelling. Not just with acting and modelling but also with the special effects, history and so much more. Unfortunately, when she got into modelling and acting, she was only 16 and had a scumbag manager. The manager abused her, starving her to give her "the right body", forcing her to do risque shoots despite her being underage and crushing her innocence. By the time she was 30, her manager dumped her for "being too old" and moving on to next pretty young thing.

Using her expertise in special effects, Tessa created the alias of Mysterio and vowed vengeance on the industry that destroyed her life. She sees female models and actresses as victims that she must save and first showed up at runway fashion show that MJ was at, crashing the show. Tessa is a very lovely woman but she cannot stand the look of her own face, hiding it behind the dome on her head.
