Some may say Slaanesh did this, but it wasn't; it was Tzeentch. You see, Kreave was on a tour on a world invaded by Slaaneshi cultists when Tzeentch decided he would have none of that, so he turned Kreave into an adorable, bashful little girl. Although this increased his/her chances of being raped by 800%, for some reason the Kriegsmen under Kreave's command fought... harder. There are many theories as to why- out of anger that their beloved commissar was tainted, to make up for their beloved commissar no longer being able to fight as well, etc.- but whatever the reason is, the Kriegsmen would not admit it even after Kreave reversed to normal. However, the reason is much, much more sentimental and innocent than what you would expect from fanatical nihilistic fatalistic space-Germans: they fought so hard to protect Kreave's innocence. Specifically.
