Well, I guess it depends on the author, Steve Lions made the DKoK basically Imperium's necrons in Dead Men Walking (probably one of the most depressive novels of Black Library), while Graham McNeill keep them quite human in Warriors of Ultramar.

My headcanon is that Krieg veterans and officers become more human as psychological impacts of battles break down their indoctrination.

True, and with GW's weird stance on cannon it's all up to interpretation. Β

Yes it's from the Warhammer 40K universe, but I said it because the man - a solider from the Death Korps of Kreig is from a ww1 German inspired planet, which so happens to be named Kreig - the German word for War.

Actually, we are not even in the Same Universe and own a Galaxy. The Imperium owns much less. And we are technically allies, since Frostarians are related to Humans. Also, we have a bigger Military too. Good luck with trying to beat us.

well like you said, we are technically allies, so why don't we ally against the Tyranids
No one wants a universe run by Tyranids...

No one would be capable of such. Tyranids would consume all Sentient Races. Orks, well, self explanatory. Chaos is the worst. Havoc, eh, almost as bad as Chaos, not quite. And Necron? I like having emotions.

And they lead the Imperium, which is why the Imperium is not at peace or allied with the Eldar or the Empire. I say there should be a Rebellion that fights the Imperium in the name of Liberty and Happiness, and that allies with the Empire and the Eldar. I would go for them. I play with multiple factions; Imperium, Eldar, and Empire. Well, I do not play Tabletop WarHammer 40k, I just collect the units. ALL of the Units, mostly pre-painted in the correct style, but sometimes I have to.

Same, I just like the lore, did you know part of a space marine's genetic modification is making their spit highly acidic? Or that they have an extra organ before the stomach that can eliminate all poisons in a food?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Xenoman117 In reply to Stargazer2112 [2014-08-16 09:33:22 +0000 UTC]

Well, I hope they remove the Acid Spit when the retire, but the Anti-Poison is actually nice.

Stargazer2112 In reply to Xenoman117 [2014-08-16 10:46:04 +0000 UTC]

too bad most of them die before they get to retirement.

Besides, a retirement plan for a space marine involves becoming a dreadnought, so no retirement home for them...

Stargazer2112 In reply to Xenoman117 [2014-08-17 08:32:08 +0000 UTC]

I guess blinding loyalty to the emperor kind of means that they're not that concerned about it.

You know what they say:Β It is better to die for the Emperor than to live for yourself.Β

Xenoman117 In reply to Stargazer2112 [2014-08-17 18:25:00 +0000 UTC]

Some have to blindly serve the Emperor, but they aren't.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Stargazer2112 In reply to Xenoman117 [2014-08-17 18:43:28 +0000 UTC]

true enough, but if it keeps the inquisition from knocking on your door, then it's a good idea to blindly serve.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Xenoman117 In reply to Stargazer2112 [2014-08-17 20:39:44 +0000 UTC]

The High Lords and Inquisition would be easy to be rid of had their idiotic decisions not made so many other enemies to deal with> Even if they were allies with the Eldar and the Empire, Resistance would be futile, was there are too many foes. Then again, if they were allies with the Eldar and the Empire, there would not need to be a Resistance and the Imperium would have the upper hand alongside their Allies over their foes. And not the Chaos, Havoc, and Heretic Resistances. Those are bad ones.
