EDIT2: Guys, VHR is a sim game. This horse isn't real. So, no, I didn't dye a real life horse. x_x It's a feature in the game that enables players to "dye" their horses a new color, for a fee.

EDIT3: I decided to change the text on the image, just slightly, so that he can now be used on my HorseArt-RPG ranch, Double Dance .

Finally finished this silly guy. So, 'Eddie' is a VHR reining Quarter Horse stallion of mine (who won a bunch of moolah on the game), and who I had custom dyed, "Grullo", a few days ago.
I've been working on-and-off on this piece for a bit, now, and I'm more or less pleased with the outcome.. It's heavily ref'ed off a reining horse photo, 'cause I can never get the reining pose right. >.< I don't know the photographer's name, so I can't really credit, sorry.

Phenotype: Grulla. Slightly purpley, light black slate grullo coat, with dark legs (faint zebra bars.) Halfway up the neck, his pelt gets progressively darker, up to his head, which is a rather deep shade. Mane and tail are black with frosting (at the dock and along the crest), thick, long, and slightly wavy. He also sports a bold dorsal stripe, faded shoulder/wither barring, a small star, a left fore and right hind sock, as well as a shortish, right fore stocking.
Eyes: Blue
Genotype: AaAa / E+ / Dn+
Height: 16.0hh
Build: An ideal Reining horse body type. Stocky, heavily-muscled, broad chest, strong neck, powerful, rounded hindquarters, Even if he is slightly big for a reiner, he still shows those necessary traits to be a powerhouse in the field, such as, quick, agile, and swift movements. Has an excellent top line, smooth gait, great leg conformation, smallish ears, and a remarkably lustrous coat.

Temperament: Has excellent coordination, little to no quirks, a sure foot, is calm, inquisitive, relaxed, people-friendly, and totally bombproof. Incredibly responsive, and always in-tune with the rider. Constantly attentive and focused when under saddle, and will do precisely anything the rider asks of him. Is so gentle and carefree when in-hand that small children can easily be placed on his back without any concern.
Discipline(s): Western Reining mainly, some Western Pleasure, and Barrel Racing at times.
History: Bred and born in the States by one of the most prestigious and successful reining ranches in the country, he's definitely a Texas foreigner. He was trained there to be a reiner because of his bloodlines, although he also had some barrel racing training under his belt, before we discovered him at a futurity in Kentucky, where he pleasantly shocked judges and spectators alike with his spectacular performance. Eventually, we purchased him, and continued to event him in innumerable competitions across the globe. He has definitely made a name for himself over the years, and he's now retiring to full stud. He will occasionally continue to make appearances at various shows, but from here on in, his career is limited to the breeding shack.
