Description EDIT: Bullet won his HARPG annual racing class , as well as the 2008 Champion Stallion award!

-----

At long last.

This took eons. x_x You should full-view. I think. I remember what ref I used, it was on Flickr, but I can't find it. :/

Ok, so for starters, how was everyone's Christmas/Hanukkah/etc.? I personally had pretty great celebrations so far.
Also, I know I didn't exactly upload a holiday-themed piece this year, yet I'll try to do something for New Year's.. but, yeah... Ahem. Moving on.

Right then. So, about the piece. It's little Bullet ! As promised.
So, he's now currently standing at stud, at Double Dance Stables . If you have a HARPG ranch, look into booking your breedings!
This image also doubles as a *HARPG-Annual-Shows entry (Ra).

LOOSE MAIDEN WINNER WREAKS HAVOC
August 4th, 2009
By Gwen Manchado
WEEKLY RACEHORSE CENTRAL

This morning at the Saratoga Racetrack in New York, a three-year-old hitherto unraced colt, Bite The Bullet of Double Dance Stables, made quite an impression during his maiden race.
Straight out of the gate, in ninth position, Bite The Bullet - the close favorite after Silverfoot - shot to the lead before opening wide and almost separating sideways from the head of the pack, within the first few strides. Silverfoot, a handsome grey colt (of Les Γ‰curies Druide; sired by Holy Bull), and freshly starting contender as well, was the one who all eyes were on. Yet, before Silverfoot could even make a move to steal the lead, Bite The Bullet made a bold turn to the infield and nearly bumped with President's Choice, a successful British-bred filly, if it weren't for the quick reflexes of Canadian jockey Jules Bertrand onboard the strapping bay colt. He then surged further onwards, bolting several strides ahead of the rest as he found his other gear, demolishing the mud-coated field to blaze to the finish line, never once having the others pose a threat to him. Albeit jockey Bertrand repeatedly ducked low to take a peak behind him under his left arm to truly make sure there was no competition bearing down on them along the backstretch. He boasted a surprising 10-length victory in the murky weather, with an impressive time grazing near the track record.
Not long after this stunning display, however, the fresh 3-year-old, which Bertrand was still attempting to slow down, had ideas of his own.
"He basically grabbed the bit and took off, once we crossed the wire. After the second buck, I knew I was going down and there was no fighting it," shrugged Bite The Bullet's ongoing jockey, who was rolled off the track in a gurney for two broken ribs, a fractured foot and a sprained wrist.
"This isn't the first time he pulls something like that on me," notes Bertrand, while motioning to a rather large scar on the side of his forehead, "and I certainly don't expect it to be the last, either."
Thankfully, Jules was immediately taken to the nearest medical center and will not suffer any long-term damages, says Dr. Jackson of Saratoga Hospital.
After the incident, it took four outriders and a near-by jockey to help slow down and control the loose and very rambunctious winner.
"I think the race was too short for his liking," sighed DDS' head groom, Benjamin Desrosiers, who stood on the nearby sidelines.

Sorry, couldn't resist. xD I thought it could be entertaining. I just whipped it up, in the spur of the moment. Will check for spelling and stupidities, later on. Must rest weary eyes, now.

Lol, but I guess its a little bit to difficult for me x'D
I don't get a lot of the things you have to fill in about your horse

Hazel-rah In reply to Flying--Solo [2009-11-12 19:44:33 +0000 UTC]

Oh, but I just go overboard with the stats and stuff. You can just write "bay TB stud" for your horse's stats. Simple as that. It's just that I personally enjoy writing up novels for my horses' statistics. The fun thing about the HARPG is that each person gets to work however they please, make their ranch description unique towards others, and be original, in general. You don't have to follow what another HARPG breeder does, lol. And, it's in fact better to be original.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask me. ^.^

Hmm, okay. I'll try, I guess
When I read the stuff it sounded really strict, but now you said I can make my stats up myself, I think I'll join in. First finish the drawings^^

Thank you!

Lmao, thanks. xD I hate drawing riders, so I drew him without one, but it didn't look realistic, or like he was actually racing, so I wrote that little tidbit.
Glad you liked it!
