Meet Keahi! The nephew of Aldebaran.

Keahi (they/them) is the firstborn pup of Lerie and Prometheus. They are a rare lesser deity and are 98.4375% QuillDog (81.25% normal, 12.5% Quillless, 6.25% QuillDragon) and 1.5625% Jackastrala.

Keahi is proud, passionate, and has a powerful presence. They never do anything by half-measure - if they commit to something, they give it their all. They are outspoken, making sure that no one misses what they have to say. They try to be outwardly gracious in defeat, but tend to seethe inwardly and obsessively plot how they can do better next time. They straddle the line between courageous and reckless, and it's honestly a toss-up whether they will fall to one side or the other in any given situation. Self-preservation is only important to them until someone is in need of dire help - then they throw caution to the wind. They are not afraid to intimidate, and like to use their fire to dazzle and overwhelm others when they need to win an argument.

Keahi's fur transitions from a bright sunshine yellow around their head to a vibrant fiery red on their tail. Highlights of brilliant sky blue fur are scattered across their coat, creating patterns in some areas. Some of these patterns also include golden markings. Their paw pads are also blue. They have a crest of feathers behind their head, quills on their rump, and a cluster of hybrid quill-feathers on their shoulders. The shaft of the feathers are stiff, while the feathers themselves are very soft. The quill-feathers are harsher in texture than their regular feathers, but not as sharp as their regular quills. Their quills are naturally black, but are infused with fire inside and glow yellow at the tips, and are exceptionally sharp. Their ribcage is hollow and contains a small star-like orb of fiery heat and light. Some flames leak out between their ribs, mostly red-gold but with some blue sparks. This fire is scalding hot and blinding bright to all but them. All four of their paws have fluffy, feathery fur around their ankles. Their eyes are vibrant sky-blue. Their adornments are made of blue and dark red threads, strung with gold and blue beads. They also wear dark red wraps on their forelegs.

Keahi doesn't have a bonded magical partner like their uncle Aldebaran; rather, they prefer to pursue their own magical exploits. They do appreciate the companionship of the other magical creatures at the stable, though, and can often be found romping around with Doyle, Stella, or other fiery or frisky horses who are up for a little adventure. They also have an extreme soft spot for the rabbits.

Keahi's name is Hawaiian and means "the fire" - fitting for such a bright, fiery canine!
