Inupapa/Inu no Taishou/The Dog General: Keeping an eye on youWhat on earth is Inupapa's (Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru's dad) real name? That's the ultimate question! So, if you've come to ponder about the meaning of life or any other ramblings of Shakespeare, this is not the place. Sorry.
Anyways, at least we know Inuyasha's mother's name, Izayoi. It's not officially though, since it's only mentioned in the 3rd movie, Swords of an honourable ruler, and not in the manga. As for Inupapa's (AKA Inu no Taisho/The Dog General) name there's only a small clue, which can be found in the title of one of the soundtracks from the very same movie. It’s called “Touga-ou e no negai” which can be translated to “Honourable Touga’s Wish”. Not to mention that this is the very song that plays in the background when we get to see Inupapa in the ending of the movie. Which makes me believe his name is actually, well, Touga.
Any opinions?
By the way, am I the only one who finds a dog (demon) grinning like a cat absolutely hilarious?

As for Inu-Papa's name, I'm not all that sure, either (I've been calling him 'Touga' in my fanfics, though that had been something I'd seen on a fansite at some point in the past...)

Yeah, I never quite got the "I don 't eat human food" concept either. Maybe he meant cooked food, or food made by human customs. He prob prefer his meal raw. He is a predator after all.
Oh, in the anime you can actual see him with his eyes closed. Maybe that's his version of power naps?
Well being a kids series you won't really get to see him with other females in that kind of way. Btw he's most likely very good at hiding his relationships compared to Inuyasha

Idk. Demons eat humans but those seem like more the lesser demons. Something Sesshomaru and Inu-papa aren't. Plus if he ate humans then y would he be so attached 2 Rin? Sesshomaru just seems not 2 feel any other kind of love besides attachment. Something he feels 4 Rin. He's probably attached 2 Jaken 2.

Pfff, he's most likely keeping Jaken because he can be useful at times and he's such a devoted fangirl ...er I mean follower. Seriously, who enjoys being kicked and walked over all the time? Well, Jaken does! No one else? Nope.
And because he's been appointed to babysitter for Rin. Probably because Sesshoumaru wants some alone time. xD lol
If he hadn't felt a sort of attachment towards others he wouldn't been able to draw and use the Tenseiga. You know, the awesome ressurrection sword.
And I don't think he eats humans, normally, especially after Rin became a part of his pack. I was more thinking that he hunts and eats cow, pigs, sheep. Whatever a predator of his size can digest. F.i. in the Inuyasha manga you can see a picture of Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru's father in his dog like form, having a cow in his jaw. I would presume that it's for eating. As long as it's meat AND raw it's eadable for little Sesshy.
