Just something I churned out this week for J. Michael Tatum at Ohayocon. I plan to get him to sign a copy as well, that I can put next to my previous Black Butler artwork.
For those who don't know me well, J. Michael Tatum is one of my favorite VAs, next to Travis Willingham and I've waited about 3 years to meet Tatum in person. I'm so excited.
Ciel and Sebastian were inked on bristol vellum and colored in Copics. The bristol was cut with an exactoknife and pasted on 8.5" by 11" scrapbook paper. I colored in some of the pattern. After the sketch (took so long) the entire piece took me about 6 hours to ink, color and cut.
Ciel and Sebastian, and Black Butler belong to Yana Toboso
I feel like I've improved since my last Black Butler piece from 2011.

WOW! So amazing. I just finished watching the series. I think you did a great job with Ciel and Sebastian. I really really the Sebastian with his knives. I'm still don't know how you cut it out with an exacto knife. . I'd have no nerve to do it. Wow. Like I said, amazing job.

Turned out awesome, Ame! I can see you worked so hard, and it paid off! Also, I'm glad you colored in some of the background, it ties the paper in to the drawing well.

Thanks Nicky! In the end I was really happy with and J. Michael Tatum loved it, so yay! Yes, I felt the background would be bland without some added color.
