Description
We lost power to the building I live in last night, so I went on the roof and took advantage of the dark.
The moon was out so I thought it deserved a photo or two.This timed exposure was taken long after the sun went down--I love the way the camera picks up the faint light after dark.

too bad my camera makes a lightning lit night sky look like a cloudy broad daylight day! *tries to capture a lightning bolt but to no avail*

Awe! Are you using an automatic exposure? You might be able to stop down the exposure manually and get a better photo, but it depends on the camera you are using.
Lightning has been very illusive to me too...although I hope to get a good photo soon. My fiance took some awesome lightning photos with his point and shoot camera one night and I am totally jealous!!!
