Description Apophysis 2.08 3D

Contest entry for =f--l--A--r--k's Apophysis Challenge #17 .

As promised, a "striped" fractal with a given gradient. My stripes aren't really that continuous, but there are prominent neat lines after all.

That's exactly those lines that inspired me the name "rush", a riverside plant which grows tall and green. Yet, my fractal looks maybe more like a bamboo; yet I opted for rush instead, and there's a reason behind this: "rush" also means "hurry". That's exactly what the fractal expresses, in some way: a hurry to change colour from blue to yellow, stopping by the classical plant green. Another kind of rush can be seen in the small fibres sorted out of the trunks here and there, like scratches given from a city life. That way, even nature has a quick-paced life on its own... even nature has its own rush hour.

Postwork: colour adjusting, as usual.

Parameters available upon request.

THANKS
I'll let you in on a little secret. I also thought of the band while giving it a name.

Love the gradient here. It seems like a photography of a empty rainy stone place through coloured lenses. It feels lonesome.

That's great. I actually wanted to express a little loneliness with this. The fact that you think of nature while seeing it means a lot as well, since the primary meaning of rush was intended as of the Juncus plant family.
Thank you!

Yup, although I unfortunately have little time to comment all of them.
But I did remember you won the linear+spiral challenge. Most rightfully, too.

Very cool! I didn't quite get why it was called such but a very nice explination! Good luck!

^ Those are Juncus, one of the many variants of the rush family: I thought their trunks looked a lot like my fractal's; then I thought of the association to the other meaning of the word "rush", and that's how the name was born.

I know, I have a trippy mind

Thanks a lot as always!
