Well, here's 2016's summary of art! owo

January
Was doing MMD stuff. However, I wanted to focus on videos and animations. Was also messing around with Audacity and started making my own sound files by mashing up and mixing around audio files.

February
Wanted to get back into more serious art where I went back to some realistic roots. Though anime/manga is my main style, yes, I'm quite capable of doing realism and semi-realism work. At the same time, it ignited some old love for previous series.

Was still into Hetalia, but I was steadily moving away from MMD because I was getting turned off by the fandom. I wanted to focus on my own artistic skills and wanted to improve them. Began to read more tutorials, received tips, and started to incorporate backgrounds, albeit simplistic ones.

April
The hype for Pokemon was coming back with the announcement of Sun and Moon, and I saw an old work of Gijinka's I had done in the past. Inspired me to draw Gijnka Pokemon and see how much I've improved. Needless to say, I felt quite satisfied at seeing some form of growth.

May
Wanted to improve some more with female anatomy, and began to get more interested in drawing more mature or sexually appealing works. They don't call me a chivalrous pervert for nothing. XD otherwise, just continued on as usual.

Was starting to get more into Ace Attorney. I wanted to make more romantic and subdued yet intimate scenes. Was still into crack and rare pairings, though. XD continued working on backgrounds and read more tutorials on them.

Still into Hetalia, but I wanted to tweak how I did it a bit. There was my typical style, and the Himaruya style, but I wanted to change the latter a bit because I didn't want to continuously imitate. So, I started changing the style a bit.

Wanted to improve even more with backgrounds and make them more solid and distinct. Naturally, looked more into tutorials - found some good tips. Pictures were becoming a bit more detailed.

September
After watching Kubo and the Two Strings in the movies and doing a unit for oil painting in the semester, I was curious with experimentation - particularly with strokes. Made a picture more brush-like, and needless to say, was interested with the idea of using calligraphic brushes and strokes for background utilization.

Started to get into JoJo's Bizarre Adventure thanks to a friend who introduced me to Diamond is Unbreakable. That was when I started to experiment with using calligraphic brush strokes for backgrounds behind a solid subject. At the same time, my style was starting to change, and, I'd like to think, improved a bit more. >w>;; by that time, I was starting to also stray from Hetalia.

Getting more into JJBA, also started using colours from palettes I never thought of using before thanks to a friend who was into doing palette works. More experimenting with backgrounds.

Began doing works for my own story and made some character concepts. By that time, I was no longer so into Hetalia, and do not want to draw stuff for it for a long time due to lack of variation with an extremely disappointing pinup journal. At the same time, also started to do more works with JJBA, Ace Attorney and Pokemon, and began doing more mature (but not explicit) works.

TL;DR - This year was when I started to fall out of Hetalia and MMD after 4 years, and I found new stuff that captured my interest (i.e. JJBA, Ace Attorney and Pokemon), as well as start working on my own thing.
